Friday Core'dinations Winter

Happy Friday!

Love that it is the weekend!  Do you have any fun plans.  I have a ton of tennis and that is about it.  Jack is always busy and on the go so that is a constant!  I just love being home with my guys!!

Last year we did not get a lot of snow.  I think it snowed only 3-4 times but each time the boys would get so excited.  Jack wanted to make snow angels and I happened to catch him.  He is my little sow angel.
For my layout I started with a navy Core background and scored and sanded it.  I then took a Core Whitewash Barn Siding piece and embossed it with my Couture embossing snowflake folder.  I then lightly sanded it to bring out the red.  I then made a Core tag using coordinating Core essentials cardstock.  Finally I punched out my snowflakes using a Marvy punch.  I used the Glitter Silk paper for my snowflakes.  Lastly I then built my layout layering the cardstock elements and some left over pattern paper from Echo Park.  I added some fun stickers as embellishments and wrote my journaling with a white gel pen.

supplies
cardstock- Core (Core Essentials-darks and neutrals, Whitewash, Glitter Silk)
paper and stickers- echo park
twine- the twinery
marvy punch
tiny attacher
white gel pen
Silhouette- title

Thanks so much for joining me today.  I will be back tomorrow with a rare Saturday post because it is the 1st of the month and we have a really fun challenge for you over at Some Odd Girl!  See you tomorrow.  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Beautiful layout.
I love the dark navy blue paper you used, all the other elements just pop off the page.

Love how you used that navy cs as the background. The sanding is perfect and the white title really pops against it. Beautiful winter page! Great photo too!
