WOYWW --Leap Day!

Happy Leap Day!!

Is anyone doing anything special for this great day?  I have to say that we are not.  Just the same old same old thing!  I am going to try to take a picture of my boys leaping in the air.  We will see how that goes.  It seems that whenever I plan on a picture it never turns out.  The boys won't cooperate or something always happens.

This week I am linking up with Julia for WOYWW.  This is so fun where you can link up and see what is on everyone's work desk.  My desk is a little messy (at least for me).  I am currently working on a display for Simply Scrapbooks.  I am using the new line from Moxxie.  This line (Child's Play) is just so fun and is just perfect for my boys.  You can also see my Silhouette cutting mat.

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with a look at a new project.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful and crafty day!

Project Life Week 3

Happy Monday
Did you have a great weekend?  I did.  Saturday I was able to craft and get all my projects done for Cord Camera.  I can't wait to show you them!  I was able to create with the new Jillibean Soup Neopolitan Bean line.  It was so much fun!  Sunday we relaxed.  I took a LONG nap again and then was able to get caught up with week 8 with my Project Life.  I have to say I am still loving this whole process.  Did you get any crafting in?

Well, as I mentioned I am all caught up with Project Life and I wanted to share with you my Week 3.  Once again sorry for the glare on the page protectors.  I have to figure out a way to photograph them without the huge glare.

Left Side- I am loving all my Ali Edward's stamps that I have collected throughout the year.  I have always used them on my layouts but they work soooo well here.

Right Side
I love that picture of Michael on the bottom left.  He is sitting opposite me at my scrap desk.  As I have mentioned a million times- my boys are right there with me and they LOVE to create  things.  He was working on his dry erase board and had marker all over his face! Thank goodness for erasable markers!  I will be talking about  the bottom right picture later this week.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  I will be back tomorrow with my last project for Whimsie Doodles.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  See ya tomorrow! Have a wondeful and crafty day!

Project Life Week 2

Happy Friday!
I am so glad it is the weekend!  I am so in the mood to get my craft on!  I got to work a pinch last night and was sooo happy!  Do you have any great plans for the weekend?  Me not really.  I have my errands which I am adding Joanns and Michael's this week.  The tons of craftying time. Hubby is taking the kids on Saturday to visit his mom and I will left alone to crafty for a couple of hours--sounds like heaven to me!!!

Well, I was so busy with all the Valentine's day projects that I didn't get around to my project life updating.  Here is week 2--now I am sorry for the glare- very cloudy and yucky but I think you will get the jist!

Week 2- left side
I saw on a website that you could buy cutting files for Week and stuff but I made my own.  I love FREE!

Right Side

I am still very basic.  I add a bit of stamping and some things here and there.  I really love it!  I did buy a couple of things the other week to help me with Project Life.  A fun date stamp and some cutting files for my silhouette.  so far it has been good and then I have been making my own like the word bubble with yum!

I will have more project life for you next week! Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope everyone has a wonderful and crafty weekend.  I will see you back here on Monday!

A Jillibean Thursday

Happy Thursday!
Well I made it through yesterday and hopefully today afterschool is a bit calmer!! I am looking forward to getting back to craftying.  I got my first DT kit from Cord Scrapbook Studio and I have to say I am so excited to get to work!  If you haven't visited their site before or their blog check it out.  Their online store is stocked with all the latest and greatest products and their blog is chuck full of great scrapping information!  Anyhoo-- I am excited! Hopefully on Saturday I will be able to get some scrapping in!

My favorite line this year for Valentine's day was Hearty Barley from Jillibean Soup.  This kraft line is just perfect because it is so versatile.  For this layout I used my favorite photos of my 3 favorite guys and made a layout using this awesome line.  It is hard to tell from this view but I cut out some of the hearts and layered them and pop dotted them on the cooridinating heart.  This gave that area some dimension.  Loved how it turned out!

supplies
cardstock- bazzill
paper- jillibean soup

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I am going to switch gears here and update a bit with my Project Life!  Hope everyone has a wonderful and crafty day and I will see you tomorrow!

Wednesday's Final Valentine's Day Cards

Happy  Wednesday!

How is your week going so far?  Mine has been a bit crazy!  I am the type of person that likes calm.  I don't due well with stress.  I know a couple of my friends that love the hustle and bustle and when things are calm they go crazy--NOT me!  I think if I can make it through today than all will be good! Fingers crossed.  That being said, I have not been able to craft.  I did sit in my craft room last night just to be in it!  I spent 1/2 of Monday organizing all the paper and getting kits and DT stuff off the floor and put away! I just sat there for about 15 minutes in peace and enjoyed the clean desk, clean sheleve, and clean floor!  I think I will try to get some crafty time in tomorrow after school!

I am trying to wrap up all my Valentine's day cards.  I really made a lot this year for the store and for my family.  Here is my final one!  i just love the colors in this one!

Whimsie Doodle Tuesday

Happy Tuesday,
As you know I have been a guest over at Whimsie Doodles this month and today I wanted to share a wonderful card using the stamp "Pie Lizzie".  I think this stamp is one of my all time favorites.

Isn't she just the cutest?  Oh I love her!  For this card I used October Afernoon paper and matted them in brown ( I know it looks like black but it is dark brown).  I then printed Pie Lizzie and then colored her in using my copics.  I then cut her out and pop dotted her on the centerpiece.  I then die cut a tab and printed the sentiment "You're as sweet as pie!".  Very simple, but very cute!

Valentine's Week- friday

Happy Friday!!
Oh I love Fridays!!!
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?  We really don't.  The boys need haircuts, I need to pick up some work at the store and make some displays and then I just want to rest.

This is a layout that I did using the Heart paper from Crate paper.  I wanted to use traditional Valentine's paper on a non Valentine's day layout.  I like to make an easy layout that shows the things I love at this moment.  Right now my loves are 1)still my iphone, 2)my pandora bracelet from my hubby, 3)my new tom tom gps from my hubby- spend about 1 1/2 hours driving everyday and this is awesome!, 4)my nook, 5)modern family- my favorite show, and finally 6) my new cameo (well it is old now)

Valentine's Week - Monday

Happy Monday!
Did you all have a great weekend?  I sure did!  At my Friday crop I finished weeks 2-5 of project life and then on Saturday I finished week 6.  I am totally caught up!  What a great feeling!  I will show pictures later in the week.  Then for the rest of the weekend I just relaxed.  I cleaned off my desk and took a break!  I actually took a nap on Saturday and Sunday!  That hasn't happened in years!

This week is Valentine's day and I thought I would show you all the Valentine's day projects I had been working on last month for Simply Scrapbooks and for my family.  First up are Jack's valentine's day cards that we finished up.  I got a picture of the cards for the boys in the class.  I forgot to take a picture of the ones for the girls.

For the cards I used Echo Park paper and then added the circles with the dino.  Jack picked out all the paper.  The sentiment says- You are dino-mite!  Sorry for such a bad photo.  The I added a button and a bit of twine and we were done.  Jack added Happy Valentine's day inside.  We then added a sticker for each student.  He LOVED them!  and that is what made me soooo happy!

Boy, am I excited that today is FRIDAY!!  I am exhausted from yesterday, but I have to find the energy because tonight is my monthly crop!  I have one project and then the rest of the time is Project Life.  I have been talking and talking about getting caught up but something seems to always get in my way.  NO MORE!!  I need to finish up January!!  That is my goal!

As you know this month I am the guest Design Team Member over at Whimsie Doodles stamps and they are having their monthly challenge.  The challenge for this month is to use only your scraps to create an awesome card!  I knew exactly what I was going to use.  I just finished making a layout using the Valentine paper from Crate Paper.  I had a ton of scraps!  Here is what I came up with.
I used 80's Lizzie for this card.  I think she is just WAY too cute.  She is really rockin' that hat!  To make the papers POP I matted them all in black cardstock.  Love that look!

So we would love it if you stopped on over Whimsie Doodles and played along with us!  YOu could win a fabulous prize or even a guest spot on their design team!

Happy Wednesday,
How are things going for you this week.  So far so good here.  I have started on Jack's Valentine's day cards.  He asked me to make him some for school and how could I say no--right? So I broke out my paper trey ink stamps and I was ready to go.  Here is what is on my desk!

Jack wanted the cupcakes for the girls with pink and the boys get a dog or a dino.  Jack tomorrow night will stamp the insides of the card with "Happy Valentine's Day"  Jack is a a great stamper and then he will add his name and a sticker.  We started these last week but I got side tracked and we had to get them all back out to finish.  We should finish tonight!

I am linking this up with Julia's blog for the WOYWW.  I love looking at all the awesome crafty desks out there.  If you have time click on the link above and check out the fun!

Project Life Week One + Your Help is Needed Again!

Happy Friday!

First I have to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me these past few weeks with my contest.  I have to say I have THE best followers ever!! Well,  I need your help again.  A really cool scrapbook store in Columbus, Ohio  is having a design team call and you had to submit 5 projects including, cards, layouts and altered items.  The first phase for the design team competition is fan voting.  The high scores then make it to the next round where representatives from Jillibean Soup, Bella Blvd. Little Yellow Bicycle, Bazzill and others then vote on their favorites.  The winners will be part of the Cord Camera Scrapbooking Design Team.  The DT would be working with these manufacturers to come up with displays and also teach classes.  This would be a REAL honor and a HUGE thrill.  So for this part I need your help in voting for my 5 projects!  They are all mixed up but I can give you the row and the title of my project for reference.
Row 3 - sending warm thoughts snowman card
Row 6- Fall black printers trey with a tree in the 1st slot
Row 7- Happy Birthday card using little yellow bicycle( 2nd to last item in that row)
Row 7 That day in May -( last item in that row--a two page layout that has orange  and yellow in it)
Row 10-- My Girl- a picture of my late dog Bailey
Click the box next to each project and then scroll to the bottom to fill out the form  and click submit!
Here is the link:   http://info.cordcamera.com/misc/designteamvoting.html
I can't thank you all enough!!

Are you glad it is the weekend?  Boy, I am.  This week did not go very fast for me.  Do you have any plans?  I actually don't know what we are doing.  Hubby and I have been on opposite schedules lately and haven't talked about the weekend.  I know on my schedule I have scrapping to do.  So we shall see.  I am hoping to maybe get a date night in!

At my crop last week I was able to work on my Project Life. I finished week One, and I as able to assemble weeks two and three.  I still have to journal, embellish, etc.

Week One

I was really happy to use my stamps on some of my journaling cards.  My AE stamps are so perfect for these.  Sorry about the quality of the photos.  It has been rainy here and I couldn't get a good shot.

My hope is to work on weeks 2-3 this weekend.  I found some really fun die cuts in the Silhouette store and I want to play a bit with them!

If you are doing project life are you enjoying it?  I know I am.  I have been able to capture more everyday moments that I wouldn't have with my regular scrapping.  In fact my project life has given me a couple of idea for some regular layouts that I plan on working on this weekend as well.  I am just loving it.  I love the ease of the journaling cards.  You can embellish them as much or a little as you want.  Each week is different.  My goal is to get a bit caught up so that I am not a month behind.  We shall see!

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I will be back on Monday with some new projects!  Thanks again!

Have a wonderful and scrappy day!
