Saturday Core'dinations HOp

Happy Thursday!

Core'dinations is sponsoring a challenge from these Challenge sites
www.deesignsbyninadee.blogspot.com
www.cupcakeinspirations.blogspot.com

and we were asked to contribute something using this AWESOME inspiration photo.  If you follow my blog at all you totally know I have a TON of fun with inspiration photos.

Don't you just totally LOVE the colors in this photo?  So I knew I wanted to use the 110 lb. smooth white cardstock.  I first ran it through my Cuttlebug using an embossing folder.  Next I used a Paper Smooches die tag and cut out the tag.  I just am totally addicted to the scalloped border.  Next, I broke into my Some Odd Girl Sweet and Salty Stamps to get this adorable little cupcake!  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Next, I found my new fave birthday sentiment from Some Odd Girl and stamped it on my tag.  My tag needed a touch of bling and I added some gems.  Finally I added some yummy twine and called it a day!

Friday You are Wonderful

Happy Friday!

I have really been motivated this week.  I think playing in my stash has really reenergized me!  I made another layout this week for another Elle's Studio Challenge.  The challenge was to create a layout using the color green!  Here is what I came up with.
The photo is of Jack in 1st grade.  He came home so excited becuase he made this cool hat for Columbus Day.  He loved it!  Once again I have been wanting to scrap this and I just never had the time.  I am trying to wrap up 2012 in my scrapping! LOL!!  I am almost done!  Hooray!! Plus I had so much fun making this layout- I combined some fun paper and tags from Elle's Studio along with some Some Odd Girl Stamps and other fun embellishments!

Thursday Moxxie Hey Chickie Card

Happy Thursday!

I have been very fortunate that I have been desiging for Moxxie for the last 2 years.  They are a wonderful company with lots of fun specialized papers.  It really has been a joy for me.  At the start of  2014 my hubby and I sat down together to talk about my stress levels with working full time, home life with 2 boys and everything that goes along with that and then my scrapping.  I was stressing out about deadlines and spending way too much time in my scrap room and plus  it wasn't any fun anymore.  I decided to cut back on my teams and unfortunately Moxxie is one that I have decided to leave.  So this will be my last post for Moxxie.

For this cute and easy card I started with the yummy papers for the Easter-rific collection.  I then stamped an adorable little chick from The Alley Way Stamps and colored her with my spectrum noir markers.  Next I stamped my sentiment on a tag from Core'dinations.  Finally I added some pearl gems.

Wednesday REading with Nanny

Happy Wednesday!

I know I don't usually post on Wednesdays but I wanted to get my layout entered into the Elle's Studio Challenge. When I saw this sketch my mind was just so full of ideas!
Here is my take on the sketch.  I followed it pretty closely becuase I really loved the design. I had this photo of my boys sitting on the couch with my mom reading together.  I just love that they are so close to her and that she is a part of our everyday life!  So when I saw this sketch I immediately thought of this photo.
For my layout I used the Everyday moments collection.  I splurged a couple of months ago and bought this.  I really love the collection because it is very gender neutral and really works with everything.  I layered my paper and then added the journaling tag.  I cut out the circle so that it would bit on top of the layers and photo.  I then wanted to add different textures to my layout and I stamped some stars using a Some Odd Girl stamp in brown and red.  I also stamped the sentiment awesome sauce with a Some Odd Girl stamp as well.  Next, I mixed Studio Calico wood veneer stars with Elle's Studio wood veneer stars.  Finally I cute out the happiness tag and added that at the bottom.   I really love how it turned out and I have to say I had soooo much fun making it.

Tuesday Be Inspired Challenge #50

Happy Tuesday!

I had a little bit of time this past weekend and I wanted to play along with the Be Inspired Challenge #50 using The Alley Way Stamps.  This is a photo inspiration challenge (my fave!).  Here is the photo
So from this photo I took away the color green and transportation and this is what I came up with.

I used several different TAWS stamps.  First I made my border and then colored in some triangles using my spectrum noir markers.  Next I stamped my car and colored it also with my spectrum noir markers and fussy cut it out.  I then stamped my sentiment and fussy cut that as well.  Fianlly I added 3 little gems in the bright green.  Love the CAS look.

Monday Moxxie

Happy Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend?  I did but just not long enough.  I have 5 more work days and then I will be on Spring Break!  Oh yeah!  I can't wait!  So I can do this week. Right???

Today I have a card to share that is from Moxxie.  The Easter-rific collection is just so bright and pretty.  For my card I layered the pattern paper and used one of the stickers as my sentiment.  I then broke into my stash and pulled out some coordinating Prima flowers.  Remember when the cool little bottles of Prima came out about 7 years ago?  Well, I bought a bottle and I still have that bottle completely full. LOL!!  I just don't use flowers on anyhting.  So, it was fun to break them out here!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a project.  See you then!  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Friday LawnScaping Challenge: Clean & Simple

Happy Friday!

So excited that it is the weekend!  We have another jammed packed weekend- I have 2 tennis matches, 1 lacrosse game and 1 practice, 1 party, 1 dinner out-- Yikes!  But I know I will find some time to relax!  Just being able to sleep in longer than 4:45 am is a treat for me!

So I had a little extra time this week and I saw this challenge over at Lawnscaping and I just knew it was one I wanted to enter.  The challenge is to create a Clean and Simple card.  Oh Yeah!  Just what I love to do!

You can Go HERE to see all the details of the challenge!

My oldest is having the Standardized testing all this week and I have been putting little treats in his lunch bag everyday.  So I needed on for today so I broke out my stars stamp set and dies.  I first die cut out my stars and backed them using the Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock.  I then heat embossed in gold the smaller stars.  I stamped my sentiment and then stamped it again on red Gemstone cardstock and fussy cut the little hear and pop dotted it the card!  I love how it turned out.  This sentiment means so much to me because when he was little I would read over and over again the Guess how much I love you? book.  He even still has a stuffed little nut brown bunny that he keeps tucked near his bed!  I hope he likes it!

Friday March MOxxie Sketch

Happy Friday!

Oh am I glad it is Friday but boy, oh boy, do we have a crazy weekend!  I have a tennis match tonight and practice on Saturday and Sunday- the youngest has two (yes, two) birthday parties to go to on Saturday and the oldest has two (yes, two) lacrosse games (one on saturday and one on sunday).  Yikes, I don't know how we are going to get it all in!

Today I have to share with you the March Moxxie sketch.
Here is my take.  I used the Brand New Easter Collection for this one.  I love the fresh spring-like colors in this collection.  Very fun!

These are photos of the little one at our church's Easter Egg Hunt.  It was a VERY cold day and we were freezing but we all had a really good time.  It was the first year that this little guy got to be in the big area!  He was so excited not to be with the "babies".

Thursday Core St. Patty's Day Gift

Happy Thursday!

St. Patrick's day is just around the corner and I love to leave little gifts for my coworkers and for my son's teachers.  So what is a crafty girl supposed to do?  She breaks out her Core Essentials and the Gemstone collection along with the Silhouette!  So I decided to make little Pots o' Gold for everyone!

I cut out my pot using the black core cardstock and then I lightly sanded it.  I then took  my gemstone collection and cut out a shamrock and rainbow.  I just love the subtle hint of shimmer on this cardstock!  I then cut out my clouds using the 110 lb cardstock and lightly inked it up using some distress ink.  I filled the pot with some gold coins and some Hershey's candy!  I hope they like them!

Monday Core Banner

Happy Monday!

Can I just say that I need another day to recover from the weekend. LOL!!  Oh well, I have 3 more weeks until spring break and then I can rest. Right??

Core'dinations gave the DT an assignment to create something for St. Patrick's day.  I decided to make a home decor piece for my family room.  I made a banner using the awesome Core Essentials cardstock and some Darice embossing folders!

Here is a look at the entire banner hanging from my mantle.  I made a triangle base and then layered my green.  I embossed and sanded my green layer.  I t hen punched out a circle using the Core Couture Glitter collection.  Next, I cut out my letters using my Silhouette.  I also used the Core Couture!  Love this stuff!
A close up of one of the banner pieces.  Don't you just love the embossing?
And then here is a look at the different layers.  I think I am addicted to foam tape. LOL!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I will be back tomorrow with the new Digi Release from Some Odd Girl.  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Tuesday SOG Hipster Pets and Digi Release

Happy Tuesday!

Today is such a fun day becuase the fun is continuing over at Some Odd Girl! I really think Kristy outdid herself with these new sets.  I am totally in love with them.  Today's Hipster set is Hipster Pets.  I just love these little critters.  In the set you have a cat, dog, and a cute little fox.

For my card I started with a Core Essentials base and then embossed the 110 lb cardstock.  I then lightly rubbed some distress ink over it to bring out the embossing.  Next I punched out a scalloped circle and lightly sanded it.  I then punched out some pattern pieces from JIllibean Soup and layered them on my scallop circle.  Finally I stamped my cutie fox and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I pop dotted her on and then used a SOG clear sentiment stamp to top it off.

March SOG Monthly Challenge

Happy Saturday!

I just can't believe that it is March 1st and we are buried in snow!  The first of the month brings a new challenge over at Some Odd Girl.  This challenge is very on trend right now-- GOLD!  I am loving this new trend to incorporate the color gold in my projects.

I decided to make a layout using  the Gold them.  I really went wild n crazy with my Some Odd Girl stamps and Odds n Ends from the store.  I had a blast with this challenge.  I started with a green pattern piece of paper from Bella Blvd.  I then trimmed my Core cardstock and then splattered it with Heidi Swapp Gold mist.  This mist was so fun.  I then layered a few drops of the green and blue.  Next  I took a Heidi Swapp piece of cardstock where you mist it and then the design comes through. ( I have forgotten the name of the paper, but it had been in my stash for a long time and I broke it out.)  I misted it with the gold shimmer and I LOVED how it turned out.  I then layered it with some more Bella pattern paper.  I then added my Gold Doily from the Some Odd Girl store-- Don't you just love it???  I then got busy with my stamping.  I used several different sets- Hipster Kody (Coming out this week!!!!!!), Photo Kaylee,  and Be You, . I heat embossed my "picture perfect" in white and then got out my gold embossing powder to stamp "just be you" and cut it out leaving a white rim around it.  I was so proud of myself  becuase I was able to use some of my gold embossing powder that I bough about 5 years ago and NEVER used!  Sticking to my commitment to using my stash!!!!   I then placed it all on the layout and added some yummy Sequins from the shop.  Finally I added a Heidi Swapp word sticker and an October Afternoon flair button.

So you want to give this challenge a try.  Head on over to the blog and check out all the details.  I can't wait to see what you create!
