Imaiginisce Teacher Card

Happy Thursday!!

School is ending (thank goodness) and Imaginisce is having fun ideas to make for your favorite teacher.  For my take I made a card for my son to take to his teacher.  For this card I broke into my stash and pulled out some of my last pieces of one of my favorite collections- Geek is chic.  This line came out several years ago.  For my background I used the packaging and cut it down to the card size.  I added some other paper scraps and then some of the 3D stickers.  I did stamp the sentiment using some Paper Trey Ink stamps.  Finally I finished it off with some yummy twine from The Stringery.

Wednesday Imaginisce Outdoor Adventure Masculine Card

Happy Wednesday!

Don't you love it that it is already Wednesday!  I just love having Mondays off from work!

I was playing around with my Core'dinations and Imaginisce items and I came up with this masculine birthday card.  I put some Core cardstock through the Cuttlebug and embossed it.  I then lightly sanded it to bring out the lighter color.  I then added some fun pattern paper from Imaginsce and added one of the embellishments.  I then stamped my sentiment and made a banner and finally topped it off with some yummy twine from The Stringery.  I love how it turned out!

Tuesday Moxxie Tennis

Happy Tuesday!

Did you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend?  Oh I sure did.  We simply hung out and just enjoyed the wonderful weather.  It was chilly so no pool but it was in the 60's and sunny so we were still outside the whole time.  I got to play tennis and Jack played baseball and got the game ball.  He was so excited and you know what?  I haven't set foot in my craft room for 7 days now.  I just have no motivation and it is has really been wonderful.  I just am swamped with the end of the school year and just tons of family things.  I am starting to get the itch so hopefully I will make down there sometime this week!

This week I have a new layout using some of the tennis collection from Moxxie.  These are a couple of photos of Jack when he was in Quick Start last year.

I made this process video for Moxxie on how I made this layout.

Friday Scrapbook Steals Pebbles Chalk Kit

HELLO FRIDAY!!
I am so happy to see you!!!  This has been one crazy week and I am so happy the long weekend is finally here!!!

Today I have my first post over at Scrapbook Steals.  I am so excited about this because the Steal of the day is the Pebbles Chalk Ink Kit.  I had never played with Chalk Inks before but let me say I totally had a blast and loved them  The colors are so amazing and there are soooo many things you can do with them.  I focused on 3 techniques with this kit.  I will go over 2 of them on my blog here today and to check out the 3rd you will have to check out the Scrapbook Steals Blog

First Technique- Use the amazing stencils to create fun shapes on your projects.  For my card here I used the stencil for the sun and rain drops.
Second Technique - use the chalks to color and entire area.  Create your own background.  I created for my tag the ombre look with different shades of pink.  (sorry the photo is so wonky- it is not doing that on my computer).
I have made a video "how to"  looking at this awesome kit and the different ways that you can use the chalk inks.

Be sure to head on over to Scrapbook Steals and see my third fun project.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back next week some fun projects.  See you then!  Have a wonderful and crafty weekend.  I am taking Monday off to spend time with my family- I promised them no blogging for me- LOL!!!  So I will see you back on Tuesday!

Happy Thursday!

It seems like forever since I posted a layout.  Trust me I have been making them but they are for June and July!  I have several coming up in the next week so I hope you enjoy them!

Imaginisce has come out with a new release Outdoor Adventure and can I tell  you that I am just so in love with this collection.  It is just so on trend with the colors, patter papers and designs.  I just love it.  One of the reasons I love it so much is that we are always outside and this collection is all about outdoor activities!!

This is a photo of Jack in a tree.  Every year (except this year) we go on a hike for Mother's Day.  Jack wanted to climb this huge tree and he did really well.  He looked so cute up  there when he was taking a break.

Tuesday SOG Music Mae

Happy Tuesday,

Today I have another new Clear Stamp Release from Some Odd Girl !  Today we have Music Mae.  I just love her sitting there listening to some music.  She reminds me of my Goddaughter who is 11 years old and is always listening to her music.

For this card I went with a square base (something I rarely do but wanted something a little different).  I broke into my Jillibean Soup scraps and put together this card.  I colored Mae with my Spectrum Noir markers.   I added some of the fun sparkle twine from The Stingery!

Monday SOG Hey Mae

Happy Monday,

How was your weekend?  Ours was wonderful.  Saturday we spent the day at my mon's and went to a local festival.  The boys had so much fun and I got to catch up with my oldest friend.  We have been friends since we were two.  Yup, 2 years old.  Our friendship has spanned 44.5 years.  I can't believe it.  It was fun seeing our kids play together and hang out!  Then on Sunday I played tennis in the mornng ( had the best match so far!!- Yes, we won!!) and then just hung out on the patio and watched the boys play and dooze in my chair listening to our little pond.  Just the perfect day!!  I did not get much crafting in.  In fact I got NOTHING done.  LOL!! Oh well, that is ok.

Over at Some Odd Girl they are having their Clear Stamp Release week.  Today's stamp is Hey Mae.  Is she not so pretty?  I love her!  I colored her with my spectrum noir markers and then made my card with some scraps I had from October Afternoon.

Friday Core'dinations Intro

Happy Friday!

Are you ready for the weekend?  Oh man Oh man am I!!  This has been one long week!  I can't wait.  We don't have much on our agenda this weekend but we do have a fun local little festival.  The boys always love it so I can't wait.  I also want to get in some crafty time.  I would love this weekend to create just for me.  I am a bit ahead of schedule on DT work and I have had this idea in my head for a layout that I want to get done of my little one on vacation last year.  I splurged and bought a couple sheets of Fancy Pants paper for this layout.  Fingers crossed I can work on it!!

Today is a big day for me.  It is my introduction on the Core'dinations blog (HERE!)  Our assignment was to create a layout that represented you.  I knew exactly what I wanted to make!  I picked my favorite photo of me and I love the colors in the photo so I picked some awesome cardstock that matched the photo and then picked out some of my fave papers from  Jillibean.  I then got out my Silhouette and made speech bubbles and put in a noun that describes me.

I really had fun with then embellishing this layout.  I am totally addicted to wood veneer so I couldn't create a layout about me if I didn't include it- so yes, I went a little crazy with it but it was so much fun.  I also included a flair badge because I love flair!!! and then I included the feather for fun.  I love to have fun with my craft.

For my techniques with the Core cardstock I embossed and sanded it to give it a bit of a distressed look.  I also sanded my title.
cardstock- Core'dinations
alphabet stickers- jillibean soup
pattern paper- jillibean soup
wood veneer- freckled fawn, studio calico
flair- a flair for buttons
feather- bella blvd.

Now here is the fun part!!!!!! Core'dinations is giving a a paper pack of their awesome cardstock EVERY day that they are announcing the  design team.  All you have to do is head over HERE and leave a comment and you have the chance to win!  How easy is that?  Plus I would love it if you stopped by to say hi!  Thanks so much!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back next week with all new projects.  Some Odd Girl will be having their clear stamp release and let me just say the stamps are sooooo much fun.  I will see you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty weekend.

Tuesday Imaginisce I Top Feature

Happy Tuesday!

Do you like to make crafty things for your home?  I really do and when Imaginisce gave us all different assignments this week on how to use the I Top I was so excited to get the I top Magnet Daddies!  The reason being I have been wanting a new magnet board in my scraproom for awhile now.  I needed something that blended in with my decor and was cute.  So when this assignment came I ran to out to find some magnet paper and a new 12x12 frame.  My scraproom decor is white and black and when I was going through  my Imaginsice paper I immediately thought of this sheet.  It is from the Love You More Collection and I absolutely love the grey colors and the doilies.  I knew that this would be my background piece.  For my magnets I used some of the coordinating papers to cover my magnets.  I love how it turned out.  I now have something pretty and functional in my scraproom where I can hang my "To Do Lists".
I made a video on how to create the fun and easy project.  Jack is already clammering for me to make him one for his bedroom.

Happy Monday,

Did you have a good weekend?  It was very good.  I had a wonderful Mother's Day!  My mom came over for brunch and if I have to say so I made the best little dessert.  Mini Blueberry Pies!!!  I am not a huge baker so this was big for me.  They turned out awesome.  Hubby was wild for them because he is a big pie lover-- me not so much but they were awesome!!

This week over at Some Odd Girl the Stamp Feature is Lazy Day Kaylee.  I have to say Kaylee is one of my all time faves and this digi stamp is just so awesome!!  For my feature I made a card using some older Echo Park paper.  I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers and I topped it off with some yummy twine from the Stringery.

Friday Moxxie Enjoy the Ride

Happy Friday,
Well, we made it through another week.  Are you going to get crafty this weekend?  I am hoping to but who knows.  Our weekends have been so so busy lately.

Today I have a layout using the Midway Madness collection from Moxxie.  This is one of my favorite collections.  We go to a lot of amusement part and last summer we went to the Columbus Zoo and they had this antique carosuel and it was amazing.  Jack rode on it and loved it.  I was able to snap this photo as he was coming around.

For the layout I wante a clean look and let the photo take center stage. I basically let the background paper be most of my embellishments and then  I matted the photo several times, die cut the title and the arrow and added some wood veneer and finally added the fun banner.

Wednesday Imaginisce Mother's Day Mini

Happy Wednesday,

Over at Imaginisce the topic all week is Mother's Day.  Our assignment was to create something for Mother's Day.  I decided to make a mini album for my mom to show her how much we all love her.  For this project I used one of the Lori Whitlock cut files at the Silhouette store.  It is a chevron mini album.

To make this mini I used paper from the Imaginisce Childhood Memories and Good Dog collections.  I also used some of the new print and cut files over at Silhouette.

Monday My Little Trooper

Happy Monday!

Did you have a great weekend?  What did you do for NSD?  We hung out and then went out to lunch and then I dragged my crew to Archiver's.  I got a couple things but nothing much.  Still trying to be good.  When I got home I worked in my scraproom and I totally purged a bunch of paper.  I Tneeded to make some space for my DT stuff and I am so OCD that I have to have a space for everything or I can't scrap.  So I worked and got it all done!  It felt awesome.  Now the boys have a ton of paper to play with and I have a bunch to sell in an upcoming garage sale.

Today I have a layout that I made just for myself.  I was playing around with my supplies.  I made a triangle die cut using my Silhouette and turned it into a mak.  I sprayed with some mist to create my own background.  Next I just broke into my supplies and played around with some MME.  I really loved playing with my stash on this because there are so many little things from mme, silhouette, freckled fawn, the stingery, october afternoon etc.

This is a photo of my little one who was such a trooper last summer going to Jack's sporting events.  He hated going to them but he sat through them all.  I love him!
