Monday Core'dinations Happy Boy

Happy Monday,
How was your weekend?  Ours was pretty nice.  Saturday ran errands and such and then Sunday just had a quiet day at home with the family.  I just love those!!  I was able to craft just a little so that was nice.

Core'dinations has some of the most awesome tags and I have a layout that features them along with my Michael.  I first started with a Core piece of cardstock and then began stamping and misting on it.  I love Core because it handles all the different mediums just perfectly.  I then made a banner with all my tags.  I first embossed them and then sanded them lightly.  I then added some Lily Bee paper and some awesome Elle's Studio tags.  For my title I had some LYB and Jilliebean stickers.  I really broke into my stash and pulled out some goodies for this layout!

Friday Scrapbook Steals Basic Grey Boy Collection

Happy Friday
I was so excited to hear a couple of weeks ago that for my final Friday Steal at Scrapbook Steals I would be working with the Hey Boy collection from Basic Grey.  I Have not worked with Basic Grey in awhile and was excited for the change.  I was really loving this collection.  I know it is an older collection but it was new to me and I really fell in love with it!

I made two projects using this collection.  The first one was a layout.  I had yet to scrap Jack's first grade school photo and I thought this collection would be perfect for it.  I used a strip of the wallet photos and put a silhouette frame around it.  I also made other embellies using my Silhouette.
For my second project I made a masculine birthday card.  I never seem to have enough of these around.  I layered my paper and then stamped the sentiment with some of my TAWS stamps and added some yummy twine from the Stringery and some fun pearls from Doodlebut (stamps, pearls and twine were from my personal stash).

Please stop by the Scrapbook Steals blog to see more of this amazing collection- check out the deal- and leave a little love!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back on Monday with an entire week of new projects!  I have lots of layouts to share!  See you then. Have a wonderful and crafty weekend!

Thursday Zombie Crazy

Happy Thursday,
As I mentioned before I had some extra time and I was able to break into my stash.  I love it when that happens!  I can't remember when this collection came out from Bella- last year or two years ago ( i think 2 years ago) but I REALLY loved it.  I went a bit crazy with it and bought 2 of everything.  I normally don't do that.  So I am going to be scrapping with this halloween collection for a LONG time.  I am glad I still love it.

Last year Jack wanted to be a scary Zombie.  It was the first year that he wanted to be scary instead of cute. The weather last year was cold and rainy but I was able to get this awesome photo of the him.
This year he wants to be the grim reaper so i don't know how well this paper will work out with that one- LOL!!

Wednesday TAWS # 37

Happy Wednesday

Hope your week is going well.  Things are OK here.  I have had a little bit of time to paper craft for myself and you know how i LOVE to play around with my stamps so I decided to play along with The Alley Way Stamps challenge.  Here is the inspiration photo:
I had a lot of different idea swimming in my head on this one (a frame with a sentiment, a green bird and speech bubble) but I decided on this card.

I wanted something very clean and simple and I broke out my border stamp and colored it in with my spectrum noir markers and then stamped the get well sentiment in black and green (jenni bowlin ink).  I like how it turned out.

Fall is my all time favorite season and time of the year.  I always take so many photos and I always love picking my autumn paper.  I had some extra time last week and I broke into my stash and found a couple of different collections from Bella Blvd.  I think one collection was from 3 years ago and the other was even a little older.  (No, I don't hoard paper hehehehe)  Anyhoo...... for my layout I combined some Bella scraps with my Core'dinations cardstock.  I  first scored and sanded my paper and then just layered my paper and included some chipboard stickers, stickers and flair to create this layout.  I love how it turned out.

In our neck of the woods the fall festivals and farm markets open up this weekend and I can't wait to start making more memories!

I started with some Core'dinations cardstock and misted it and stamped on it.  I then follwed the sketch pretty closely.  I did add a couple of Core Tags ( I just love these tags!)  and finished it off with some Moxxie stickers and buttons.

MOnday Imaginisce Designer Day

Happy Monday!

This week Imaginisce is featuring the Design Team.  Today is my day.  Our assignment was to make any layout that we wanted and to use one of the Imaginisce tools.  This was an easy assignment for me, but I couldn't use just one tool.  I had to use 2 tools (the I Rock and the I Top- two of my faves!).

For my layout I used the Endless Summer collection.  For the top part I just the sun ray paper and added rays of I Rock glam rocks.  For my cardstock I used Core'dinations and sanded it just a bit and then lightly misted it with some white paint.  I then layered my paper under my photo.  I tucked some of the Core Tags under the photo and also used one fo the tags for my journaling.  I also made 3 brads using the I Top (one large one medium and one small). Finally I added some Imaginisce Die cuts for my title and an embellishment and finished off my title with a word using my Silhouette.

I just love this photo of Michael taken last year.  He so loved it when the waves would come crashing into him when the tide was coming in.  I just love his little face!

paint- studio calico
everything else is imaginisce!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with the new digi release from Some Odd Girl!  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day.

Tuesday SOG Digi Release Web

Happy Tuesday

So when I posted yesterday's post I hadn't had my tennis match.  Well, I got slaughtered!  I lost 0-6 0-6. BUT it was awesome.  I played a wonderful lady who when to districts last year and won!  So she was waaaaay better than me.  I was very happy that even though the score says a blow out I was in every game.  I felt good about that and I felt good about how I played. Now of course I made some (many) errors that I hope to work on in practice this week but I was very pleased.  My next match is in two weeks so  hopefully I can do better!  Thanks to all the well wishers!! I totally appreciate it.  I am also just proud that I started competitve tennis at the ripe age of 47!!!  ( I just had my birthday last week!!)

Over at Some Odd Girl, they are having the new digi release.  There is a NEW Cut File in the store today that is a MUST have for your Halloween projects.  It is the Spider Web!  For my layout I started with my Core'dinations Black cardstock and scored it.  I then sanded it and then misted it with white paint to give it that blackboard effect.  I then cut my orange Core'dinations cardstock to create the web with my Silhouette. I then just had to add a little spider.  I cut him with a Silhouette image and then sanded him as well.  I tied him onto the web with some yummy twine from The Stringery. I added a touch of paper and stickers from Bella Blvd's Too Cute to Spook collection and called it a day!  I really love how it turned out.

The photo is of my boys leaving to go Trick O Treating.  The were so cute together holding hands.

Happy Monday,

Hope you had a great weekend.  Saturday was Jack's 8th birthday.  I can't believe he is 8.  Where does the time go?  We had a party for him with some of the neighborhood boys that he hung around with all summer.  They had a blast.  We then went bowling as a family and  had too much fun.

Today over at Some Odd Girl we are celebrating the new Clear Stamp Release.  This has to be one of the cutest releases EVER!!  This set is called Breakfast Friends.
I stamped my image twice and cut out the adorable little toaster and toast.  I stamped them on some Jillibean Soup paper.  I then added my cute sentiment and then finally added some pearls to finish it off.  A very clean and simple card.

Friday TAWS #

Happy Friday!
Well, we made it through another week!  I am so excited!  Any plans this week?  I am pretty nervous because I have joined a competitive tennis team in our area and Sunday is my first match.  I am playing singles and I don't know if this 47 year old body can keep up.  I played singles in a league in the summer and I had a winning record (by one but it was a winning record all the same).  We shall see.  Could be awesome or horrible. LOL!!!

I got a chance to play with my stamps this past weekend.  You know how I LOVE The Alley Way Stamps challenges. You can go HERE to see all the details.  So here is my inspiration.

Have you ever had something in your head and then when you execute it it doesn't come out the way you wanted.  Well, that was this one.  I still love it but it just wasn't how I had it in my mind.
