I wanted to share with you a fun card I made using Core'dinations and Paper Smooches! I just love the embossing on the yummy green cardstock and then on the tag I just wanted to have some fun with my stamping and coloring! Love how it turned out!
Anyone doing anything fun this St. Patty's Day? No huge plans here. Busy with work, school, and sports practice!! But at least it is warmer!!
Well, I am down to my last week of summer vacation. I have to say I am terribly sad. This summer was so much fun and I loved spending every minute with the boys. Oh well, every good thing has to end. Right???
This past weekend we were invited to a friend's house for dinner and I wanted to bring a bottle of Sangria for dinner. So of course this gave me an opportunity to make a fun bottle tag. I remembered that Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is having a fun challenge - Emboss It! I love embossing so I broke out my Core'dinations and my embossing folders! How fun!!
I cut all the elements out on my Silhouette and then started to emboss! I first embossed the blue background using a new embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts. I then embossed the leaves of the flower using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Since used my Core'dinations cardstock I then sanded all my elements. Finally I stamped my sentiment and called it a day!

Who is excited that it is the weekend? Oh man, I am! So thrilled that we have a relatively quiet weekend. Our morning on Saturday is super busy but then after 12:00 pm we are totally free for the entire weekend! Can't wait!!
I was able to get some crafting in again this week. I needed to make a birthday card for a birthday party my son is going to and I had some scraps left over from a layout that I made (for Some Odd Girl digi cut files). So I used up the scraps making this card.
I knew I wanted to use this stamp set.
I just love that little turtle!
I needed a little help becuase once again I think I used up all my mojo on my last two design team projects but I still wanted to get crafty. So I did what I always do and look for a card sketch at my favorite card sketch blog- Retro Sketches. Seriously, If you need a little mojo boost this is the place! Here is the sketch. Just perfect for my needs.
I was feeling crafty this week but I didn't have a lot of time. I needed to make a card for my little one's lunch box and I came across this new sketch. So I decided to enter a couple of challenges!
First, I used the Retro Sketch from THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE . Head on over there to see all details!
Love this sketch and knew it would work great with my CAS style.
Next, I wanted to play with some of my Paper Smooches stamps and this week over at the Sparks Challenge Blog it was Anything Goes! This is my favorite challenge becuase you can create anything you want!
I splurged the other day and bought a new stamp set- Little Fellas.
I thought my boys would love some lunch box cards made with these stamps! So I got busy and created this card.
I broke into my paper stash once again and pulled out some really old Doodlebug paper (whenever I use my old Doodlbug paper I always seem to smile- the paper is just bright and cheery! It got me thinking that I need to do a layout with it. Put that on the top of my to do list!) and found some matching yummy May Arts chevron ribbon and then colored my litte dino with copics and spectrum noir markers
I even made a quick video for you. I hope you enjoy it.

I followed the sketch to the letter with this one. I loved the large circle.
Jack has a birthday party this weekend so I knew I wanted to a birthday card and Jack said he wanted me to make a funny one. Soooo I broke out my stamps and we looked them over and he liked the birthday fishes. So now all I had to do was pick the paper for this little guppy! I have a whole bag filled with scraps from a really old summer collection from Echo Park. I think it is almost 3-4 years old now but I loved this collection and I saved all the scraps. This is what I came up with.
I liked it and Jack thought it was awesome so he is already to go! Just have to include the gift card and we are done! I love it when we work together and this challenge worked out great!

Happy Thursday
This week over at the Sparks blog the weekly challenge is a photo inspiration.
You know I totally lOVE these types of challenges and I just totally love the colors in this-what a great combo- yellow, white, black and grey!!!
So I broke into my Core'dinations card stock and found some yummy bright and cheery yellow and tore it to expose the core. Next, I found an awesome Core Amour that had the grey and black combo. I tore the bottom and then lightly sanded the paper to expose the embossing. I then stamped my image on the Core 110 lb smooth cardstock and colored the cute little bee with my spectrum noir markers. For my Speech bubble I heat embossed the sentiment. Too cute!
I needed a bit of mojo and I found this awesome sketch over at Retro Sketches
I needed a card for my friend that has been house bound for awhile due to a broken leg and I came up with this card for her.
I stuck to the sketch as close as I could with just a couple of changes. I first used my embossing paste again (yup totally addicted to the stuff!). I love the circle and heart pattern. I wanted the card to be cheery and what color is more cheery than yellow so I found a scrap of yellow studio calico paper. Next I stamped my cute little chick and colored her with my spectrum noir markers. I then stamped the sentiment. For the white cardstock I used my Core'dinations 110 lb smooth cardstock! Finally I added some red solid twine from May Arts!

I am very sad because today my break is officially over and I am back to work. I can say it just wasn't long enough but oh well, what is a girl supposed to do?
For my card I needed a birthday card so I broke out my Birthday Buddies stamp set. I first stamped my image on some Core'dinations smooth 110 lb. cardstock. I then cut the cutie out and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers. Next I punched out a circle and got to try a new technique using a Christmas present from my hubby-- embossing paste. Oh, I think I am hooked on this technique. You can slightly see the triangle pattern and texture the paste gives it. Next I made my base using some Core cardstock. I attached some thick chevron ribbon from May Arts and then stamped my sentiment. Finally I added my pearls!

Did you have a nice weekend! I sure did! It was just nice knowing that I don't have school on Monday! I was able to get a lot of tennis in. I had my best match ever on Sunday! I won in a 3rd set tie-breaker! I think it was the best I have ever played. I also did some relaxing! I did not even set foot in my craft room. It was really nice! LOL!!
Today I have some tags that I made using Core'dinations. I made a set of three.
Starting from left to right. I first cut out a tag and only embossed the bottom half. I then ran a strip through my crimpers and then sanded it. Next I cut out a strip and used a punch. I stamped my sentiment and then added some twine yummy twine.
For my second tag I started with a Core book mark and heat embossed some snowflakes. I then got inky with some Tim Holtz inks. To top it off I added a banner sentiment from Imaginisce and tied some solid twine!
For my third tag I started with some Core and sanded it. I then took some white and tore it to create a snow bank. I stamped my snowman on some of the yummy 110 lb. Core cardstock. I then colored him with my spectrum noir markers. Finally I stamped my sentiment and added some more yummy twine!

The weekend is here! Oh I can hardly wait!! I have so many things to do because we start going to holiday family parties next week and I have to finish my shopping! YIKES!! Are you ready for the holidays?
I am playing along with the Paper Smooches Sparks weekly challenge this week and this week we had a photo inspiration. I totally LOVE these. Here is look at the inspiration:
I stuck pretty close to the inspiration for my card.
I started with some Core'dinations Dark Essentials for my base and then took the new 110lb. white smooth cardstock and cut it slightly smaller. I stamped my images (using all Paper Smooches stamps) and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers. Under the sentiment I scored the cardstock. I also then "roughed" up my edges just to give it a bit of a distress look. Why did I do this? I don't know- LOL!!!
supplies
cardstock- Core'dinations
stamps- Paper Smooches
ink- memento, jenni bowlin
spectrum noir markers
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back tomorrow with a new layout. See you then. Have a wonderful and crafty day!
Core'dinations gave the Design Team to create a project using the ever so popular Blackboard theme. I love this project. I created a fun card for this theme.
I started with my Black Magic cardstock and scored and sanded it. I then broke out a TON of my stamps from Hero Arts, Paper Smooches, and Some Odd Girl. I stamped them and then heat embossed them in white. Next, I heat embossed the gold sentiment. Next, I found some white ink in my stash and ever so lightly stamped some random hearts and flowers. Finally I added some gold bling. I LOVE how it turned out plus it was soooo fun to make.
Do you want to see how I made this fun card? Check out my video for Core'dinations.
We are expected to get a snow storm starting tonight into tomorrow. I get as excited as the kids do with the awesome thought of a SNOW DAY!! It is like a little gift that is just soooo wonderful. So if you think abou it tonight Please do a snow dance for us! I would LOVE a day to hang and cuddle with my boys!!
Do you love challenges? You know I go in cycles and right now I am LOVIN" them! They are just what I need! One of the challenges that I like to participate in is the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. They have changed things up just a bit and this week's challenge is Anything Goes!
So I broke into my Paper Smooches Stamps and found this cute litttle beverage and I stamped it and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and added the little snowflakes and I just LOVE the sentiment. I am going to put this in hubby's lunch next week as a surprise! For the banner pieces I used some Bella Blvd. paper and washi tape!
Hey Everyone,

I first picked several hearts from my Paper Smooches stamp collection. I then stamped them in various colors to create my own background paper. I then stamped my two little love bees and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers. Finally I stamped my sentiment and colored my heart with my markers.

I love the elegant look that they bring. When I think of elegance and Imaginisce I immediately knew I needed to make a card with the Black Ice Collection. This collection just screams elgegance. So I chose two of the papers and placed them on a diagonal. I then stamped my sentiment and added a touch of color using some hot rocks and my I Rock!
