Friday Paper Smooches 11/29 Sparks

Popping back in today because I was getting crafty and I saw this awesome challenge over at the Sparks Challenge blog!  It is a photo inspiration- you know how I love those!  So here is the inspiration.
I love the love aspect of this photo and that is what I focused on.  Here is my take.

I first picked several hearts from my Paper Smooches stamp collection.  I then stamped them in various colors to create my own background paper.  I then stamped my two little love bees and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Finally I stamped my sentiment and colored my heart with my markers.

Friday TAWS #42 & SSS

Happy Friday!

I wanted to play along with a couple of challenges this week.  I was first inspired by the new TAWS image challenge- aren't those colors beautiful?  I just love them!
And then over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog the challenge is Anything Goes!

The DT was inspired to use Tim Holtz products.  Sooooooo my mind instantly started to race because of the color and Tim Holtz.  I ran into my craft room and broke out my Tim Holtz Shattered Core cardstock from Core'dinations and came up with this awesome card.  I used my Silhouette to create the beautiful flowers.  Once the were cut out I ever so softly sanded them to expose the Kraft core! For my sentiment I used TAWS stamps!  I think this is one of my faves for "thank you" sentiments.

Thanks so much for joining me today.  I will be back on Monday with a new week of projects!  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Thursday Fall Card with Moxxie.

Happy Thursday,

Today is a special day for me.  5 years ago today my Michael was born.  He was such a wonderful surprise to our family.     I was very nervous about this pregnancy because I was 42 years old.  The doctor told me I was high risk due to my age.  I was very nervous.  I did not let myself get excited until I reached the 5 month mark.  We had other miscarriages well into the 4th month before so I didn't want to get my hopes up.  With Jack I was on bed rest for months.  But after 8 months of worrying my little one was born and he was just perfect.  I truly believe that God had a plan for us and it was Michael.  Happy Birthday my little one I love you to pieces.

Now back to crafting! LOL!!
This is a fall card I made using the Fall collection from Moxxie!  I used one of the 3x4 cards as the main focus for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a fun layout using some digi cut files and stamps from Some Odd Girl!  See you then,  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Moxxie has a wonderful Fall collection out right now and it is really great because there is a sheet of 4x6 and 3x4 cards that are just perfect for Project Life.  Now I have mentioned before that right now I am just using the page protectors as a way to add more photos into my albums.  Here is what I came up with.
Once again so sorry for the glare.  I just can't seem to get a photo without a glare.

Did you have a nice weekend?  We did!  If you follow me on facebook (Siehled with a Kiss)  then you know that last week I was a crazy crafter.  I was working on several deadlines and I was going crazy.  My room was a total mess.  On Wednesday I totally scrubbed my room down and put all my supplies away.  I was going to take just a day or two off but two days turned into five.  Sometimes I do that.  I just need a couple of days off to get back into it.  I feel pretty good now and I am ready to get back to crafting!

Today over at Some Odd Girl the feature stamp is Indian Tia.  She is just a cutie and here is my card.

I used my Imaginisce Forever Fall collection and colored Tia to match.

Happy Friday!

If  you are looking for the SOME ODD GIRL AND PERFECT LAYERS hop please click HERE!

OK, I am showing my age here but I have Loverboy's mega 80's hit- "Everybody's working for the Weekend" running in my head right now!  I am soooo happy!  I can't wait till that bell rings at 2:40 and I pick up the kids and get home!  It has just been one of those weeks!

Today I have a layout to share from Moxxie.  The collection is from last year and it is one of my faves.  It is Child's Play.

Last summer Michael learned to ride his "new" 2 wheeler bike with training wheels.  He thought he was just so cool!  I captured these photos of him while he was riding up and down our sidewalk.  He was allowed to go to the stop sign and back all by himself.  He loved it.

For my layout I started with misting the white cardstock with some coordinating paint.  I then broke out my Silhouette and created the heart background and the title. I loved layering all the bright and cheery papers.

Thursday Imaginisce Fall Home Decor

Happy Thursday!

If  you are looking for the SOME ODD GIRL AND PERFECT LAYERS hop please click HERE!

The Imaginisce DT was given a challenge to create something for Thanksgiving that was NOT a card or layout.  I was stumped at first and then went into my scrap closet and saw this Printer's Trey that I bought a couple of years ago and thought that this would make a cool home décor item on my mantel.

So I broke out the awesome Forever Fall collection and got busy!  I am so thankful for my 2 wonderful and amazing boys and I put their photos in first.  I then went to town filling each box with paper and embellishments.  It was so much fun.
 Here is a detail shot.

Some Odd Girl's November challenge is a totally fun one!  (well, I think they all are fun but this one is REALLY fun!)!  The challenge is to create a project using Speech Bubbles.  I loved this challenge because last month Kristy had a new digi cut file that had several fun Speech Bubbles.  So I got busy!
For my card I started with some Core'dinations Essentials Dark Cardstock and I scored and sanded it.  I then had some American Crafts embellishments that I layered and then I cute one of the SOG speech bubbles using some Core cardstock and lightly sanded it. Next,  stamped a SOG sentiment on it and finally added some little hearts.  I love how the Speech Bubble and Sentiment are front and center of the card.

Be sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl Blog to take part of this amazing challenge.  You could win some amazing stamps!!!

Tuesday Some Odd Girl Football Tobie

Happy Tuesday!

If you are looking for the Some Odd Girl and Perfect Layers Blog Hop please click HERE!

Can you believe how fast time is moving right now?  We are in the middle of November already.  I am planning my Thanksgiving menu this week.  It is crazy and a bit overwhelming because normally I am done with my holiday shopping and I haven't even started this year.  YIKES!!!!  Oh well, I will have to let it go. Right???

Today is Tuesday and you know what that means........A SOG digi release!  Today's release is so awesome.  You know that I first fell in love with Kristy's awesome boy stamps and this one TOTALLY ROCKS!  Football Tobie!!!!  I was brought up on Notre Dame football and then I married a Bengals fanatic and have two boys that LOVE watching football so this stamp was so perfect for me.  Hubby has season tickets to the Bengals game and I have given up my seat to Jack so that they can go and have fun together.  For the car ride down I always pack my guys a snack and also for the car ride back home.  So I made this card as a little surprise for them!
I cut the card base out using some Core'dinations cardstock and my Silhouette.  I sanded the cardstock just a bit to give it that distressed look.  I then added my sentiment with some bling.  Every card needs a bit of bling.  Right?????  Finally I colored my Tobie in orange and black ( The Bengals colors) using my spectrum noir markers.  I think they are going to love it!

supplies
cardstock- core'dinations
stickers- October afternoon
bling- hero arts
spectrum noir markers

Be sure to stop by the shop and pick this cutie up!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a new project.  See you then. Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Monday SOG and Perfect Layers Blog Hop

Happy Monday!

WELCOME to A Perfectly Odd Hop!  We Odd Girls have partnered up with the lovely ladies from Perfect Paper Crafting to bring you something fun and different!
PPChop
We had the pleasure of getting together with Perfect Paper Crafting at CHA in Vegas, and a collaborative event was an absolute NO-BRAINER!  Would the Odd Girls like to try out some fun tools?  Heck yes!  Does the Perfect Paper Crafting team want to play with some cute stamps?  Sure thing!  And it’s a match made in heaven…
Today, both teams come together to bring you a fabulously inspiring BLOG HOP that will run through Sunday, November 17th.  There are 16 stops along the way including the main blogs, and PLENTY of inspiration for you to enjoy, so we hope you have as much fun as we’ve all had in this little partnership!

Do you want to know what was  one of the first scrapbooking tools I bought over 8 years ago was?  It was the Perfect Layers Rulers.  I totally love them and use them all the time in my crafting!  So you want to see my project?????
For my project I used the Perfect Layers  ruler and used it to form my mats. I love the look of a perfect mat and you get that EVERY single time with these rulers!  I used Big Day Tobie, a clear stamp set.  I colored him with my spectrum noir markers.  I really like how the mats in black really make the pattern paper pop and they really just add a lot to the card.  It really defines all the paper.

When I first saw this little cutie I immediately thought of my boys when they were little.  My Michael had a little bear like this and he was the softest little bear.  I colored him to resemble the bear.  My card is made from scraps from Echo Park and I stamped my sentiment right on the pattern paper.  Way too cute!
