Friday

Happy Friday,

When Cord Scrapbook Studio gave me the Plumeria kit from Basic Grey I was a bit nervous because I haven't really liked anything from them in awhile, and I thought it was very girly.  I had it on my desk for a couple of days and then I picked this photo and started to play. Once I started playing I started to really love this paper.

This is a photo I took of my boys when they were playing together.  I love it when they play together and are nice to one another (versus the fighting that usually takes place!).

Everything is Basic Grey

Do you have any crafty plans  this weekend?  I am hoping to get a bit in.  I have a DT assignment I need to get started and then I would like to scrap some kindergarten photos to finish up Jack's year.  Because believe it or not the first day of first grade is just around the corner.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I will be back on Monday with a new project!  See you then.
Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Basic Grey has been known to stump me too, but you rocked this collection. So glad you stuck with it. :) Crafty plans for me? I have some DT assignments to work on, photos to edit and print and some cards to make. :)

Hello again! Thanks for your kind words on my blog- I'm now following you and enjoy your work! I love that you've used Plumeria for a boy layout- I have two boys and often use "girly" papers for their layouts :D...

Love that you found a photo you could use with this collection. The background papers really work with it and it really does not feel feminine at all. I have always loved BG but I haven't figured out how to work their stuff in lately much either. I have a goal to catch up my PL album this weekend! Happy Friday. :)

I love the colors in the collection, they worked so well with your photos!

I'm not sure if I'm going to craft this weekend, I guess it depends on if I'm going to be able to clean up my desk today! Have a great weekend!

I haven't used Basic Grey in such a long time. But I think these papers work really wonderful with your photo. The colors are so complementary. Beautiful layout. Sweet pic too.

Great layout. If these are girly papers, you sure changed the look of them, because they look great with your boys photos.
