Jillibean-Happy Birthday

It's Thursday!

I like thursdays--why? because it means tomorrow is Friday! I love that!

Well a bunch has happened since I last posted.  Jack was playing on the playground and he and another boy ran into each other.  Jack hit is 2 front teeth.  We went to the dentist and this is the second time he has hit his teeth and the root to his two front teeth are almost gone. She said he will be losing them pretty soon.  The bad part to this is that his permanent teeth are about a year from coming in.  So Jack will be toothless for awhile.  Hopefully the teeth will stay in for bit longer.  Let's hope!

Nothing else is too new here.  Trying to work on some stuff, but I am not getting much done.  So therefore I will postpone (once again) What am I Working on and continue with my Jillibean Soup Week.

Day 4

Once again everything is Jillibean Soup.  This is the Spotted Owl soup.  You got to love those cute little owls.  This is a cute little card I made for a birthday party that Jack is going to next week.  I think it turned out so darn cute!  You will want to tune in tomorrow because I helped my friend make some of the goody bags with this line.  They are so cute.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow! Have  a great day!

Jillibean Soup - Dutch Mustard

Happy Wednesday,

I love that this week is just marching on.  Nothing is new here.  Just work, home, boys and odds n ends.  I must say it is a pretty boring week, but I love it.  Right now I am just needing calm.

I have been trying to organize my scrapping paper.  I have been working on it a little bit here and there.  Trying to keep all my stuff all together.  It seems like I am always trying to organize my stuff.  Does anyone else feel that way?

Last week I really worked hard on my scrapping and making cards that this week I am taking a bit of a break from crafting.

Day Three

For this card I used the Dutch Mustard line from Jillibean.  I also used the stamp die cut from the Silhouette.  I am really loving this die cut.  I have used it a couple of times and I just really love the look.  Probably going to be using it a bunch.

Hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with another card.  See ya then and thanks so much for stopping by!

Day Two of Jillibean Soup

Happy Tuesday,

Well was the start of your week. So far so good here.  I am really busy at work so I have really tried to just relax when I am at home these days.  I do have to say I can't wait for my spring break this year.  We have 3 more weeks to go.  It is really late this year.  My mom (also a teacher) has this week off.  She came over after school yesterday and helped out a bit with the kids.  I love it when she comes over.  The kids love hanging out with her.  It means so much that the boys love her.

Day Two

I got out the sewing maching for the card and sewed all the hearts both vertically and horizontally.  I like the effect.

Well I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with another card.  Thanks for stopping by and I will see you then!

Jillibean Soup Week!-Day One

Happy Monday!

Did everyone have a great week?  I sure did.  I got so much accomplished!.  It was awesome.  At my crop on Friday i worked on 5 layouts. I got everything done on them except the journaling and the title, plus all the little buttons and stuff. So on Saturday when Jeff and Jack left and Michael was sleeping I got them ALL done--wow it was awesome.  I was on a roll.

Plus I went shopping at the store.  I really wanted to buy everything but I didn't have enough cash. I got My Boy by Bella Blvd. and Toy Box by Crate Paper and then I got Springtime and Playground by Echo Park.  I also got a couple sheets of the new Jillibean Soup but they were already sold out of a bunch.  Will have to catch it when she reorders the stock.

Speaking of Jillibean Soup--I have been on a card making obsession.  The new papers are so fun. So for this week I have 5 brand new cards that I made.  Hope you enjoy them! So without further ado here is:

Day One-Hi

Supplies:

Everything is Jillibean Soup.

I used two of the new lines- blossom soup and chilled strawberry soup.  I just love these two lines.  I think I will be able to use them even with my boys----or I will just have to find some girls to scrap! hehehehehe

Well I hope everyone has a fantastic day.  I will be back tomorrow with Day Two of a week with Jillibean Soup.  See ya then! Thanks for stopping by!

One Of My Favorite Things!- Friday

Happy Friday,

I am so happy that today is Friday, but I am not happy about the weather!  It is supposed to snow flurry tomorrow.  It is cold and dreary.  Oh I want the spring!

Well I am ready for my crop tonight.  I can't wait.  I am a little tired, but I think I am motivated to get some serious scrapping done tonight.  The difference tonight is that I haven't been scrapping much during the week lately because I have been exercising, playing with the kids, or playing outside (when the weather was nice).  So I have a huge motivation to get something done!  PLUS I am going to go shopping.  My store has almost everything new in it! I want sooo much.  Here is my wish list so far:

1. Crate Paper - 2 collections neighborhood and toy box
2.Bella Blvd- I want 3 of their new lines
3.  basic grey- the birthday line
4.  Echo Park- i want the new playground
5.  Jillibean Soup- they have 3 lines out and I want all 3

Wow! I think I need to get a second job to support my habit of scrapping!  hehehehehhe

I am going to start an occasional post of my favorite things.  Today I am focusing on my recent purchase that I bought just for myself.  It is the Epson All in One Printer Artisan 835.
My scrap room is in the basement and our family printer is upstairs in the office.  If I needed to print something for a layout I would have to run upstairs and print it out. It also was not a good photo printer.  I have added a little end table next to my scrap table and I have the printer right next to me.  I love it.  I also have used it to print my own pictures.  I love it.  I can now print just the pictures that I want to use on a layout.  I don't have to print off 100 pictures now.  I am in scrapbooking heaven!  For my birthday I am asking hubby for Photoshop Elements so that I will be able to really edit and enhance my photos.  I know there is a huge learning curve but I think it will be fun to learn.

I bought this printer as a gift for myself.  I very rarely treat myself to something, but I have been wanting this for about 2 years now, and I finally did it.  I am so happy with my decision.  I now couldn't live without it.

So what is everyone doing this weekend?  I really don't have much on my plate at all.  It is supposed to be cold so we will be staying in.  On Sunday Jeff and Jack are going to visit his mom, and Michael and I are staying home.  Michael will be taking a nap so I will have about an hour and half to do anything I want in the house.  It will almost be like I am all alone.  I am so excited.  I may take a nap, read, watch a movie or just scrap.  Who knows.  I am so excited.  I haven't had time to myself in awhile.   It should be  fun.

I hope everyone has a great day and weekend and I will be back on Monday with something new. I have been having fun with making cards with Jillibean Soup products.  I am going to have a theme for next week.  I will feature a new card everyday using their products.  (Not getting anything from them--just love her products and I am lovin' them) I am just totally addicted right now to making cards.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

You at 2- Thursday

Happy Thursday,

I have been working really hard this week on a new project (I will be able to show everyone hopefully next week) at my local scrap store.  So I can't show any photos yet.  So my What am I working on has been postponed for another week.  So I guess I will have to show you a layout that I finished earlier in the week.

You @ 2

This is a layout I made for Michael. Every year I do a page devoted to their stats from the doctor--height, weight, etch and their likes and dislikes at this age.  So I have been really slow in doing Michael's. So finally last week I just said "let's get it done!", and here it is:

I stamped the yellow strip with my Ali Edwards stamps.  It says "Documenting the Journey".  I thought that stamp was perfect for this layout.

supplies
bazzill, pink paislee, Ali Edwards, Tim Holtz distress Inks, paper trey ink. ek success border punch

Well I can't believe that tomorrow is Friday.  I am so excited.  I am going to my Friday night crop and I have to make kits tonight.  I am planning on making 5  kits  and then a card kit.  I am really going to try to finish up my Christmas photos.  I know already that 3 of my kits will be Chirstmas.  I am also trying to come up with a sketch for my last fall  layout.  It is one with Michael. For some reason I have been blocked by something and haven't been able to work on them.  So I have high hopes for this crop.  We shall see how I feel tomorrow!

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!  I have been busy after school this week, but today I am going to try to work out and then get packing for the crop.  I have high hopes--we shall see.

I will be back tomorrow with a post about one of my new favorite things!  See ya tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday Card with Imagninisce + a quick question

Happy Wednesday!

How is your week going?  Mine is going pretty well.  At work we are winding down the 3rd quarter. I can't believe we are going to be in the last quarter next week.  This has been the fastest school year so far.  Before we know it Memorial day will be here and then we will be out of school--WOW!

I have a question for you--when you scrap do you mainly scrap one pagers or two pagers?  I used to only do 2 pagers but for the past year now I have been doing mostly one pagers.  Just trying to get a feel for what most people do.  Your input is greatly appreciated!

Now on to my Wednesday Card.  Imaginisce has a challenge and here are the rules:
The rules:

Use Melinda's sketch,
and incorporate the following game plan into your completed card using atleast 75% Imaginisce products:
1. Three Patterned Papers
2. Three Colors
3. Three Embellishments
(It's all about three's - well March is the third month)

and here is the sketch:

It was kind of funny actually that I already had a card that fell into this category.  I was making it for my cousin's son who  is having a birthday.  I had all these scraps left over and turned them into a card.  So here it is:

I just love this design for a boy!

I will be back tomorrow with a new layout.  See ya then and thanks for stopping by!

Patiently Waiting-Tuesday

Hello,

Oh I so want Spring to come.  We had a taste of it again last week, and this past weekend and so far this week the temperatures have been in the 50's.  I know the 50's are better than the 30's but I want the 60's so bad.  I also just need sunshine.  I so love sitting outside with the kids and watching them play and feeling the sun of my face.  It has been cloudy, chilly, and damp--I need the sun!!!

Well as I said yesterday I worked like crazy to finish Christmas.  This is another layout.  I just LOVE these pictures of my Michael.  He can be such a sweet boy.  We were at Christmas at my in-laws and Michael was "Patiently  Waiting" for his Christmas gifts.  He was the LAST one to get a present.  The other kids were already opening their presents and he sat there with his hands folded just looking and waiting for his to come.  He was just so precious.  My heart just melted!

I was so excited to use my new stamps again on this layout.  I used the Ali Edwards stamp "Moments Cherished" I stamped them using my Tim Holtz distress inks.  I said this before, but I just love adding the little stamps to give it that something.

Waiting for Santa-Monday!

Happy Monday,

Well, I worked hard over the weekend.  My goal was to finish Christmas, but I didn't reach it.  It was a pretty big goal, but at least I got 2 layouts finished.  My first layout here is a picture of Jack.  At the O'Brien Christmas party that we host each year, Santa comes to visit the children.  Well, I told the kids that "a special person is coming to the party" and Jack ran to the door and waited for Santa to come up the walk way.  It was so cute.  He was so excited. I loved every minute of it.

Did everyone have a great weekend?  I did. I was able to scrap, relax and spend time with family.  On Saturday I wasn't able to have a "date" with hubby but my little cousin (she turned 17) had a small little family party and we were invited.  She babysits for the boys.   It was nice to see my uncles and aunts.  The boys had a good time as well.

I also had a meeting with the owner of my lss store.  I have some fun plans in the works.  When things are finalized I will let you all know what is happening. I am pretty excited.

Well that is it for now.  I will be back tomorrow with a new layout. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Is it Wednesday?

Hello Everyone,

I know it is not Wednesday (hehehehe and it certainly doesn't feel like a Wednesday) but here on the blog I am highlighting a card and cards are for Wednesday.

Since I had the Echo Park paper out, I thought I would make a card with my scraps.  I usually wait till the end to make a layout or card with my scraps but I have been in the mood lately to make cards.  Sometimes I like the smaller scale of creating.  Plus I always need a birthday card--right?

For the Record--Happy Birthday!

I love the bird.  It is just way too cute and  just reminds me of Spring.

For the inside I stamped the greeting and added a rose sticker from the collection.  I just love to add that little something to the inside of the card.

So what is everyone doing this weekend? Jack has a play date and I am hoping to get some crafting in other than that we really don't have anything planned.  I would like to maybe go out for a quick dinner just the hubby and I.  We haven't had a date night in awhile and it is long over due.

I hope everyone has a great day and weekend and I will be back on Monday with a new layout.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Thursday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Does anyone have any special St. Patrick's day plans?  We don't.  We all wore green and I had some fun at school with all my green but nothing else.  The days of drinking green beverages have been long past.  hehehehe--but they still sound good!  When the next day is a work day it makes it hard!

I hope everyone is having a great week.  So far so good here.  Looking forward to the weekend to hang out and get some crafting going on.  Once again it is supposed to be a What am I working On, but again--NOTHING!  I have been really busy on the weekends but nothing really during the week.  oh well, I will share with you a layout I made.

Brothers and Friends

The boys and I were goofing off one day after school and they started to hug each other.  Well, you know me--I had to grab my camera and take pictures.  This is what I got--just way too cute.
I so love these alphabet stickers included in the paper pack.  I tried to use all the different types in this layout.  I think the scrabble pieces are my favorite!

On of my favorite things about Echo Park is that they have some of the best journaling blocks and tags.  They are just perfect to tuck them in somewhere.

I also used 2 of my new stamps from Ali Edwards on this layout.  I added the stamped phrase " I want to remember" and "Moments and Memories".  I love adding this little phrases tucked in places because they add just that little touch. As you know my style is not to add a bunch of large embellishments etc and these just add the little personal touch while still keeping my style clean and simple.

Wednesday Card Day--St. Patrick's Day #2

Happy Wednesday,

I hope everyone is having a great week.  So far so good here.  Nothing out of the ordinary and that is just fine with me.  I did have time after school yesterday to stop by the local YMCA and sign Jack up for Spring soccer.  He said he wanted to play again so I said sure!  Last year was his first year and he was interested in it for the first couple of weeks, but then he was just happy to go to hang out.  But what do you expect from 4 year olds.  I just like it that he wants to try.  I am not  of the philosophy that I have to push my kids into stuff.  If they want to start something--a sport, activity etc, I am more than happy to support that but I just don't sign my children up just to keep them busy.  They have enough to keep them busy with just being kids.

Wednesday Card

When I bought the new Jillibean Soup line a couple of weeks ago I fell in love with it.  As usual the colors and everything were awesome.  When I kept looking at it I thought that the colors and patterns would make a perfect card for St Patrick's day.    I used 2 of the journaling spots and pop dotted them together and on to the card.  I used some paper trey ink twine to tie around it, and then I used my Hero Arts stamps.  I really love how it turned out!

Scrap Our Stash March Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Today I am up over at Scrap Our Stash.  The March challenge was to dust off an old supply or tool that you haven't used is a LONG time.  This was a great challenge because I always try to use everything that I have, but when I was going through my paper I discovered an unopen pack of Cosmo Cricket paper.  It was tucked in the very back of my last paper holder.  I bought this paper years ago, and for some reason I never used it.  I totally forgot about it actually.  Plus I have had this picture of Michael for awhile as well and I new I needed to use this picture and paper.

The quote is a perfect one and it was on one of the papers.  I cut it out and used it as a border strip.  I then found 2 really old making memories brads and attached them on the end to anchor it.  I also used some of the velvet ribbon on the end.

Those eyes
For the circle tab, I stamped it with some Hero Arts stamps and used my white gel pen for the stitching.

I really like how it turned out, and I can't wait to use the paper collection again.
Supplies
bazzill, cosmo cricket, Silhouette, making memories, signo gel pen, hero arts, momento

I took Jack yesterday to Kindergarten screening.  He seemed to have a good time and he says he can't wait to start school.  I am excited for him!

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with another St. Patrick's Day Card.

Thanks for stopping by and I will see ya tomorrow!

Falling Leaves + Giveaway winner!

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  Saturday we had a great day--sun was shinning and the temperature was around 58 degrees.  The only downside was that it was really windy! But we didn't care we were playing outside in the morning and we went to the park in the afternoon.  I just love having the kids outside!  Sunday; however, winter returned and it was only 40 degrees.  Come on Spring!

I was able to get some crafting done!  I finished 2 layouts and I made 2 cards.  I also started another sketch for a card that I had a dream about.  I love it when that happens. Yes, I know I am obsessed with this hobby! Kathy over at Scrap Our Stash gave us the new challenge for April and it had been in the back of my mind all weekend, but then the idea came to me in my sleep.

On to the winner of my Michael's Gift Card.  I used the random.org site to pick a winner.  So without further ado--

Number 12 is ................Pam!  Hooray Pam! You are the lucky winner!
Please email me you address and I will mail this out to you right away

Now going from Spring to Fall.  This is a layout that I made using some old Basic Grey paper.  I really used a lot of my stamps on this layout.  It was so fun.

I used the stamps to create the journaling card and the tab above the first picture.  I also used the Ali Edwards stamps.  I used the Silhouette to create the title.

Here is the close up of the bottom part where I stamped the plain paper with my Hero Arts leaf stamps to create a pattern paper.  I used different stamps and different colors of distress inks.  I really like how it turned out.
Supplies
bazzill, basic grey. paper trey ink, tim holtz, hero arts, ali edwards. spellbinders, silhouette

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow with my layout for the Scrap Our Stash March Challenge.  The challenge is to dust off that tool or supply item that you have been keeping but not using and use it.  Go HERE for more detail.

Thanks for stopping by and I will see ya tomorrow!

Make A Wish

Happy Thursday,

Well the week is marching on! I am looking forward to the weekend.  It is going to be a bit busy but nothing crazy.

Normally this is a What am I working on Thursday post but guess what? I am not working on anything right now.  I seem to be having problems with this regular post.  I have not been very creative during the week.  I have been hanging out with the kiddos more and I have been trying to get back into an exercise routine.  There are not enough hours in the day to get all the stuff done that I want to do--work--kids--scrap--exercise--read--cook--clean--laundry--time with hubby--and the list goes on and on.  Every working mom goes through these battles.  If I exercise (which I know I am a rare one) I love to do it--I could work out everyday if I had the time, but then I don't get to scrap or hold Michael, or hang out with Jack and find something interesting about Egypt (yes, my son is into Egypt because of the Lego set Pharaoh's quest).  I hate it that I don't have enough time to do everything I want to do.  Sorry to complain--just trying to find that balance in my life where I get to do a little of everything.  Sometimes I am awesome at it and other times I am just terrible at it!  So instead of the What am I Working on I have a new layout for you.  I have really been using my own sketches lately and not entering other sketch challenges.  Sometimes my creativity is easier when it is my own creation but other times I need a little boost--I am sure you know what I am talking about!

Make a Wish
Well as I said earlier in the week I was able to get some scrapping done this past weekend and I finally finished Michael's birthday. I just love this picture of him.  He was so into his cake and candle etc.  For the layout I had a simple sketch I made that basically used up a lot of my scraps for the Imaginisce Birthday Bash line.  I love it when I can create an entire layout using my scraps.  When I say I try to use every piece of the paper I really mean it.  I only buy a collection line if I really love it and then I want to get my $$$$ out of it.

Supplies
cardstock:  bazzill
pattern paper & embellies:  imaginisce

Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back tomorrow with another layout.  Don't forget to go HERE to leave a comment for my GIVEAWAY.  See you all tomorrow!

St. Patrick's Day Card

Happy Wednesday!

When I think of St. Patrick's day I think of two things: First. Spring!!  I love spring.  Everything is just starting to bloom.  The warmer temperatures are my favorite and just happiness. Second my father.  My maiden name is O'Brien-(yep, now you know why I love St. Patrick's day--Irish!!!) and my father LOVED St. Patrick's day.  My mom and dad would dress up.  My dad had these awesome green pants with embroidered shamrocks on them.  A green vest and a fantastic hat.  He also had leprechaun ears and shoes.  He looked awesome.  I have been going through the family pictures trying to find a picture of him but so far I have not had much luck.  My parents weren't really big on pictures, but I do have my memories.

So for my family I have made some St. Patrick's day cards.  I made one for my mother and then I made a couple others for my family.  For the cards I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Lucky line from last year.  I bought this line last year and used every drop of it and then I won a contest from LYB and they sent me the entire line--oh yeah! So I now have tons to use for years to come.  I will never tire of this line.

For my mother's card I added some of the epoxy stickers to it.  I love the Celtic patterns in it!  A lot of the time when I have large titles or large die cuts I use my krylon spray adhesive and I have never had a problem--until this card.  For some reason this shamrock got too much adhesive and when I placed it on the cardstock the glue squished out--so it left some marks on it.  I am glad this is going to my mother because she will understand and probably won't notice--thank goodness -- but the perfectionist in me wanted to redo it but I just didn't have the time--

The inside of the card I used the journaling strips. I love this saying.  It is one of my favorites.  For the greeting I used one of my Hero Arts greeting stamp sets.
Here is the scaled down version that I am sending out to my friends and family.

Don't forget to go HERE to enter my giveaway of a $10 gift card to Michael's. You can create your own prize.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I will be back tomorrow with a new layout.

Mud

Happy Tuesday!

Even though we were so busy and I didn't get much sleep I was very creative this weekend. I love it when that happens.  I was on a mission to organize a bit of my paper.  I always keep my paper lines together.  I don't seperate them.  So I organized by collection and then put them together by manufacturer. I have one container just of Basic Grey and another of Imaginisce.  I have another one started for Little Yellow Bicycle.  This is going to be an ongoing process.  I always keep everything organized, but  I now want it even simpler for me.  I want to know immediately where a paper collection is versus just randomly placed.

I was also able to scrap a card for a challenge and made 2 layouts from my own sketches.  I love it when the mojo is flowing and I just get busy.  The kids were awesome because they for some reason played together. That NEVER happens for more than 5 minutes and then the fighting begins--Michael wanting everything that Jack has, but for some reason that didn't happen.

MUD
At the end of the summer, we all went over to our friends house.  Matt lives out in the country and has lots of land.  He is thinking of raising chickens and goats for his son's 4H program.  Well he has his own stocked pond and he has a dune buggy.  Well we all wanted to ride in it.  The problem was that it had rainded earlier and the ground was really wet, but that didn't stop us.  We all took our turns in the buggy and went for a ride.  We didn't realize that mud was splashing all over us.  When Jack got back from his turn he was covered with mud.  It was crazy.  Well Jack had never really played in the mud and he was so funny because he kept saying how dirty he was and how he loved it.
For the title I again made my own chipboard letters using my Silhouette.

Supplies
cardstock:  bazzill
pattern paper/journaling tags:  october afternoon
stamps and journaling block:  ali edwards
punches: ek success
buttons/twine: paper trey ink

Well I hope everyone has a great day.  Remember to go to Monday's post to enter to win a $10 dollar gift card.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with my St. Patrick's Day cards!

Happy Monday!

Good Morning,

Oh what a weekend!  Hubby was in Arizona so it was just me and the boys, and I have to tell you I am exhausted!  Michael woke up every night around 2-3:00 AM and wouldn't go back to sleep till 3:30- 4:00.  He is killing me.  Does anyone have any tips on what to do?  I am going crazy!!! Then it rained all weekend so we were in the house the whole time.  Thank goodness for my mom who came over on Saturday and Sunday to help out with the boys and help keep them busy.  I have yet to see hubby because he got in late Sunday night and I get up and leave for work before anyone is up.  I can't wait to see.  Boy, did I miss him!!!

Well as promised--once I reached 100 followers I would have a new giveaway.  This one is a fun one because it is a $10 gift certificate to Michael's. With your gift card you can pick out whatever you want.  I would use a coupon and get 2 ATG refills (I am totally addicted to buying these).  What would you buy? In order to win you must:
1. be signed up to follow my blog
2. leave a comment by March 13th on this post.   I will used random.org to pick a winner and I will announce the winner on my blog on Monday march 14th.
And that is it! So what are you waiting for?  Let's get entered!!!!

Again I just wanted to say THANKS to all of you for following me and taking the time out of your day to write such kind words.  It means so much to me!

Two Months

This is a layout I did for Michael when he was just two months old.  We had his picture professionally taken.  I just love little baby photos!  The colors are so light because of the light blue background.  I used the making memories line.  I just love this baby line.  I still have a little bit left to finish up some of Michael's pages.
I used the embellies that came with the line.  I just love the cute little animals.  I also broke out my doodlebug rub ons for the title.

Supplies
cardstock:  bazzill
pattern paper:  making memories
embellies:  making memories
rub ons:  doodlebug

I hope everyone has a good day!  I will be back tomorrow well rested (hubby gets to get up in the middle of the night to deal with my little bugger! hehehehehhee) and I will have a new layout for you!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Set of 3 Birthday Cards + Frugal Friday Tip

Happy Friday,

I am happy for the weekend to be here!  I have a sort of busy weekend planned.  On Saturday I am getting my hair cut and the grocery store and then on Sunday registration begins for Jack's kindergarten after church.  Jack will also be able to go through the classrooms and meet the teachers etc.  I think it will be really fun!  My mom is coming along to help me with Michael (who is turning out to be a handful these days!!)  Thank goodness for mom's help!

I also am planning on getting some work done in my scrap room.  I have been working on sketches and I  have a ton of them in my book and I now I just want to play with them.

I have been on a card making kick lately, and this is a really super easy card set that I made.  I had some left over Imaginisce Birthday Bash rub ons and didn't know what to do with them so I made this very plain and simple card set.  I really like how it turned out.

Over at Scrap Our Stash they have a series on Friday called Frugal Fridays.  I have a post up on how to save some $$$.  I don't want to spill my tip here.   It has to do with the card set from today.  I used a money saving tip on them! Sooooo if you want to find out what the tip is hop on over and see what my Frugal Friday Tip!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and weekend.  I will be back on Monday with a new layout.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good Morning Everyone!

Hi there and happy Thursday!

I just wanted to pop in and say that the layout that I was going to use for today's post was picked up by Scrapstreet magazine.  It was for their monthly sketch.  I am so over the top excited!  I can't believe my work is going to be published.  It will be in there May issue!  So needless to say I will be posting this layout in May!

Well I am exhausted today!  Michael woke up at 2:30 (maybe a bad dream or something -- who knows) and we have always just let the kids cry it out and get themselves back to sleep, but this did not work at all.  He was up till 4:00 AM.  Now I get up to get ready for work at 4:45 AM.  He really killed me last night.  I rocked and rocked him.  He would drift off to sleep and then as soon as he hit the bed he screams "I want Mommy back".  Oh my!

Nothing else is new here.  Same old same old.  I like that though!  Still trying to figure out what to have for dinner tonight.  I am thinking about Breakfast for Dinner.  Everyone loves this one.  I

Well I hope everyone has a great day! I will be back tomorrow with a new post and a new set of cards.  I have a post on Scrap Our Stash for $$Frugal Friday Tips$$.  You will want to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by and I will see ya tomorrow!

Sophie's Card

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Well we did it -- we reached 100 followers.  As promised I will be holding a new giveaway starting on Monday.  It once again involves on of my favorite things!  What could it be?  mmmmmmmmmmm You will have to wait and see on Monday!

I don't know about you, but the week is just marching on.  I love it!  Thankfully it has also been a really quiet week too.  I have been picking the boys up right after school and getting them home and then I have been working out in the basement with them there.  Jack is my helper and tries to keep Michael from getting too close to the machines.  I love being able to work out with them there.  I can still talk to them and just "BE" with them!! That is one of the reasons why I hate going to the gym etc because I have to be away from the kids.  Now I have the best of both worlds.

My  Goddaughter Sophie looks forward to my birthday cards that I send her.  Her mom always tells me that Sophie looks forward to my cards so I like to spend a little extra time on them.  So for this one I broke out all my Hero Arts stamps along with my copics.

1.  First I stamped a 4x4 card with the background stamp using the Hero Arts chalk ink.
2. Next I punched the scalloped circle and circle (on neenah solar white).
3.  I stamped the image of the girl and colored her with Copic markers.
4. I then made a mask of the little girl and placed it over her.
5.  Next I stamped the sky and grass (again using my Hero Arts stamps)
6.  Next I stamped and cut out the message bubble and then added the Hi
7.  On the inside I stamped the greeting Happy Birthday

Supplies
Hero Arts, memento, copic

Thanks so much for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with a new layout!

Treats for Santa

Happy Tuesday,

Wow I can't believe it--I have 99 followers.  Once I hit 100 I am planning another giveaway!  So let's hit 100.  This could be the week!  I know I say it all the time but you all are awesome.  Your kind words mean so much to me.  I am truly honored that you all come to visit me and my scrappin' everyday.

Do you remember my giveaway with the Imaginisce Snag Em Stamps?  Well Becky won them and yesterday on her blog she posted the cutest cards that she made with the stamps.  You got to check them out!  She is very creative!!!

Well I had a busy day yesterday.  I dropped off the papers to Jack's Doctor to fill them out and sign for his Kindergarten registration.  I am both so excited for him and then on the other hand so sad that my baby is growing up.  I know he is so ready to go.  He talks about going to school etc.  I think he is so excited. I know he really wants to start learning.  I work with him after school but he needs more that I can give in the short amount of time we have.  We still haven't decided exactly where he will be going--our local public school district or our local private school.  So for right now we are registering him at both and then we will decide.  Big Decisions!!!

Treat for Santa

I found this adorable plate 6 years ago and I bought it in hopes when we had kids they would use it.  All around the plate it says Treats for Santa.  For the last couple of years Jack and I make cookies for Santa.  He loves to decorate them.  This is the before and after.  On Christmas morning Jack runs down and looks for the plate first to see if Santa ate his cookies.  It is so cute.  For this layout I used the Imaginisce Christmas Cottage line.  I thought it was perfect for this layout.
I used my Silhouette to create the title. I welded the words together and  I used the adorable chipboard embellies.

supplies:  bazzill, imaginisce, ek success punches, white gel pen

Well I hope everyone has a fantastic day! I will be back tomorrow for my Wednesday Card.  It is a real cute one (just my opinion).  Thanks so much for stopping by!
