Keeping with the Rock theme Wednesday!

Hi All,

Where has the summer gone?  I have eight more days till school starts.  I just found out that I am being moved to a different high school.  So I have 8 days to pack up all my things and move them (myself) to the new building and set up.  Plus I will be teaching a new course and I have to just get all the basics ready--first day material etc.  Don't get me wrong--I am very thankful I have a job --and one that I love but this just adds a ton of stress to my last days of summer.  YUCK!  Needless to say--I am taking a couple days off the blog here and there to get things going on the school front.

Have you all been crafty lately?  I have been trying, but I seem to have a mojo block this week.  I think it is all the stuff I have been thinking about--work, jack starting school and just being away from the kids all day.  Maybe I just need a rest--SORRY to be complaining.  I like for Siehled With A Kiss to be a happy fun place--so no more talk of stress!!!!!!

On to my Wednesday card.  For my lss I needed to make a ton of cards for a lot of the lines in the store.  One of them was Best Creations.  This line is great for teens both boy and girl.  Here is the card:

supplies
paper- best creations
cardstock- bazzill

I have to say (I am being honest here) I really did not like how this turned out.  This was the last one in a bunch and I really did not put the effort in.  I was tired.  What do you do when you know something is not quite up to  par with what you usually do--do you just keep it the way it is or do you go back and redo it?  I do not redo it anything--why?  I guess I just believe that this is the way I made it and that is it--but I would be interested in what you all do.

Jack loved the black and white because it had little skulls.  He thought it was "totally cool!"

Hope everyone has a fantastic day.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh Mary Pat! I only taught fourth and sixth grades at a private school for a few years but I do know what it's like to have to move to different classrooms!! We had six different buildings and I think I had classrooms in 5 of them! But to have to move to an entirely new high school and this late in the game-oh that's how they always do it...last minute!! Praying for you.
I know what you mean about not liking a final product-I do tend to go back and change things but sometimes no matter what I do I still don't like the outcome. LOL! So then I figure it's my mind not the card/layout. But your card, looks good to me! Totally rocked the masculine look:)

I'll be thinking about you, I can only imagine moving your room. I know you're grateful for your job, but it's still a lot to deal with, especially in 8 days! :)

I really like the glitter on your card! And the skulls too! When I'm m making something and I don't really like it, I usually stop in the middle of it and will come back to it later, or sometimes I'll just throw it away! Ha!

I like the glitter too...I often don't like things I make but I enjoy making everything :) Sometimes I do a layout just to do it...after doing a few layouts I don't like I'll end up making one I love...the best way to get your mojo back is to just keep doing it :)

I hope everything goes well with your move. Its so hard when you hear so late, especially with a new course and everything. I love how last minute schools can be!

I had a mojo block last week...so I went shopping. That always does it for me!

I think the card looks great. Sometimes I think scrappers and card makers are just too hard on ourselves!

Hi Mary Pat! Love the card,I agree with Jack on the skulls..love them!

I hope your move goes smoothly and you can get some help getting everything from one location to the other, if I were close, I'd certainly help. Good luck with the new school year too! :)

good luck with move! i know how stressful it is in trying to get everything ready in eight days. the card is so cute! I'm slowly getting back to my blog but it has beena long and busy summer for me as well. until next time relax and take care of what you need to do.

Lots of moving of teachers in the Ohio districts this year-a lot of my teacher friends got shuffled around this school year. One still doesn't know where she's going and we start back the 23d! Craziness!
I know how you feel on the creative block though, I had some time last week in my craft room and instead of working on a layout I just organized and purged.
Hope your mojo comes back soon! :)

Very cute! I don't redo stuff, either. I think it is good to learn from our mistakes and move forward.

Best of luck with the move...just take it one day at a time. :) This is a great card, loving the glitter on the sentiment!

Wow, these next 8 days will just fly by, won't they? Best wishes with your new school and new course. I think the card looks fine, but I know that feeling. It is just so hard to walk away when you want to "fix" it, but I know the best solution sometimes is to wait!

I like your card it is perfect for a boy.
As for your question about a card that I don't think is up to par to MY standards.
I usually give them to someone who i know is just going to throw it away. That way it doesn't go to waste.

Me encanta, es perfecta para un niño, a mi se me complica un poco hacer tarjetas masculinas, pero esta es una gran inspiración. Gracias por compartir! Gracias también por el comentario en el blog de mi hijo, el esta muy feliz!
