Pumpkin Painting

Happy Monday!

I can't believe my vacation is over and I am back to work.  I do have to say that this really was an awesome vacation.  My main goal was to relax and I did!  I was able to read 3 books, scrap, spend time with family, and enjoy being home with my family!  Now I am back to the grind!  It is nice that I enjoy my work and I look forward to seeing all 125 students today!

Now on to my  layout!
Pumpkin Painting

When the kids are little I let them paint their pumpkin instead of carving it.  So Michael had so much fun this year!  He got so into it.  I loved watching him.  It was such a fun day!

Once again I used the Echo in the Park paper.  For the most part I used scraps to make this layout.  I used the scraps from Jack's "Pumpkin Carving" layout.  I just love this line.  The colors and designs were just awesome!

Here you can see the strips of scraps that I used.  I also used a ticket to give the date.

I love the little spider down by the journaling card.  Another thing that I love about Echo in the Park is that they give awesome journaling cards!  I love it when everything goes together .  It makes is just so darn easy!  To finish it off I just added some of the star embellies and scattered them around the page.

I had some doodlebug buttons that matched the paper pretty well so I added those with some button twine.  For the title I kind of used a combination of Foam Thickers and the stickers that came with the Echo in the Park paper kit.  I had to use the two different kinds because I didn't have enough of either so I just mixed it up a bit.  I kind of like how it turned out!

Supplies
Cardstock:  bazzill
Pattern Paper: Echo in the Park
Buttons and twine:  Doodlebug buttons and paper trey ink twine
Foam Thickers
All other embellishments:  Echo in the Park

If you want a very fun challenge to get you motivated this New Year--pop on over to Scrap Our Stash for the new January challenge.  The challenge is to use anything NEW for the New Year!  You can use a NEW item, a NEW tool, a NEW technique or have the word NEW in the title of your card, layout or altered project.  I am working on mine today! To give you all a little teaser I have the word NEW in the title,  I am using a NEW Christmas tool, and I am using a new technique!  Having a lot of fun with it!  So go ahead what is stopping you--pop on over and then get working on a NEW project!!!!!

Well I hope everyone has an awesome day!  I will be back tomorrow with a new layout!  Thanks for stopping by!
