Snow Day Card by Memory Box

hey everyone!

Well when I posted on Monday I said I needed to take down the decorations and I did. I was a machine.  I got everything done and then cleaned the first floor, and I continued to clean the basement.  I have a huge trash collection coming!  I am pitching tons.  I hate all the clutter! I now just have to scrub and clean the upstairs and vacuum like crazy to get all the needles up from the decorations.  I can't wait till it is all done!

Yesterday was a me day! I went to the spa and I got my nails done and an eyebrow wax and a facial.  I feel fantastic!  I love me days. I love my nails.  I had acrylic for a little bit but I just didn't like them for me, but I love the look of polished nails, but regular polish chips so fast on my thin nails.  Well I tried something new--gel polish.  I love it.  It lasts 2 weeks or more and it is my nail.  It only took her 20 minutes from start to finish and I love them!  What a fun day!

On to my Card:

Well a couple of weeks ago Simply Scrapbooks had an offer where if you bought so much you got a free card kit and this is what I picked.  It is from Memory Box.  I thought it was so cute.  We got all the pieces and then we could assemble and decorate it however we wanted.  So this is my take.

For the snowman I used my copics to color his hat, scarf, eyes, nose etc.  I then filled in his body with some Ranger Stickles to give him that snowy feel.
I then inked the edges of the cardstock with Black Soot just to tone down the brightness of the edges.  I think it is really cute. I am glad I picked this.  I am sending it to my Mom.  She LOVES to get cards in the mail, and I always like to surprise her.

Nothing exciting on my agenda today--laundry!! I would like to scrap a bit today--hopefully I will be able to.  Well I will be back tomorrow with a new layout.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sounds like a fun "me" day! Gel nail polish sounds interesting...do they sell it in stores or is it salon only? You are way ahead of me - I just got home from visiting my parents and am just too tired to get all the decorations down. But once I start, I'm a machine too. It all comes down in one day and I clean like a maniac! :)

Your me day sounds fab! I've heard about the gel polish, might have to check in to it! Glad you're getting everything cleaned up too. I love your snowman, the stickles just make him too perfect, your mom will love him!

Love your card, who doesn't love to get happy mail :)
Spa day?! Sounds nice. I have never had one. Mine would be a nice hot tub and paint my own nails. Never had them done professionally done.
