Starting Something New on Thursdays!

Hey there,

Well I have decided to start something new on Thursdays.  It is What Are You Working On?  I thought I would start a weekly entry about what I am working on this week.  So for my first entry I wanted to show you what is going on.  I have mentioned several times that I needed to come up with a Thanksgiving card and I finally came up with the idea. I don't know why this was taking me such a long time to come up with an idea.  So I just put my stamps and inks on my desk and decided to test things out to come up with the card. So when I make a card you can usually count on a couple of this going on--distress ink, neenah solar white cardstock, copics, and of course my favorite Hero Arts stamps (boy that would be a dream job working for them!!!  I can dream can't I?).

I love these stamps for Thanksgiving!  I think the little pilgram girl and boy are just so cute.  Plus I love the turkey!
I completed one card (I will post it next Wednesday) but I wasn't totally happy with it so I decided to tweek it for the second one. I just have a couple of finishing touches on it and it will be done!  hooray! I want to get them in the mail this weekend.  I always like for my cards to arrive early!  I never like to be late (for anything!)

Well a lot of you have been asking for me to post pictures of all my holiday decorations(yes I read all my wonderful comments and if you ask i will try to make it happen --if possible).  I love to redo a lot of the rooms in my house for the holidays.  So the first room was the kitchen.  Several years ago (wow it has been at least 10 years now) I found after the holidays the perfect sale on this set of dishes.  I had seen in a magazine once that the person changed her dishes and accesories every season.  Well I knew that was out of my budget but I could maybe do winter dishes.  Like I said I found the perfect sale--the dishes and accesories were all 75% off--yup I bought everything--plates, bowls, platters, mugs, candlestick holders, birdhouses, you name it!  So here is a quick picture of part of the set.  I just love the winter cabin feel.  There is nothing better than being in your warm and cozy sweats and have a fire going while it is snowing!

So next week I will post pictures of the boys' trees.  We are going out to pick out this years ornaments.  Can't wait. Jack is really getting into Christmas this year!  I love it!  We already wrote our letter to Santa.  Got to get shopping!

If you feel like posting what you are working on that would be awesome! If  you wanted to post a picture in the comment that would be awesome as well. I love to hear what everyone is up to--not just see the finished product.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with a new layout.

Thank you for sharing you dishes. They are so cute.
My mom bought me Christmas dishes. But I really don't use them anymore as we eat at family homes during the holidays :) I guess we should eat lunch on them.
I worked on some coloured images, Not good enough to share though LOL.

Those plates are really cute! I'm not working on anything currently but last week I made a wreath yarn. There is a picture and a link to instructions on how to do it on my blog.

Those stamps are super cute. I'm working on getting together things to take with me to Tahoe. I like to scrap while the kids are snowboarding. So, let's hope there's snow, so I can scrap.

Those stamps are adorable! I've got 3 weeks worth to catch up on from Words of Me project, my final assignment in another challenge, I need to do some actual scrapping or cardmaking, and I still need to finish my final assignment from my Jessica Sprague class.....yeah, I procrastinate too much and then have a pile on. Hopefully I can chip away at all these things, if not...maybe something will get left out!

That would be a dream job! It's good that you decided to just make a card and get it done! Sometimes that is what I have to do sometimes cause I could go around and around on decisions forever.
