Well last Thursday I showed you what I was working on. On my desk I showed the Hero Arts Thanksgiving stamp set, and I was trying to come up with a card. Well here it is!
Thanksgiving Day Cards!
This first one was what I came up with. I first stamped the little girl and turkey with Momento ink. I then colored them in using the copic markers. I then stamped the images again on a post it note and cut the designs out. I carefully placed the post it note cut out over my stamped and colored image to make a mask. I then I stamped the the grass on the card and over the post it note. I then stamped my cloud background. Finally I added my greeting. To finish it off I added a dot of the Ranger black enamel on the eye and inked around the edges to finish it off. For the base I stamped the card with brown ink and the flourish background stamp all from Hero Arts.
When I got done with the card I liked it but I didn't LOVE it so I decided to tweak it for my next one.
For this one I started off the same with stamping, coloring, and making the mask. I then stamped over the mask first with the old world writing stamp from Hero Arts and then I stamped it again with the Hero Arts Grass background stamp. I did both stamps using the Tim Holtz Wild Honey distress Inks. I then inked the edges in with vintage photo distress ink. I then stamped the brown card base just like the first one.
I am much happier with this one. I guess i like the look more., both are very cute!
So what is everyone doing today? I am getting ready to take the boys for their flu shots and then Michael also has his 2 year check up. After that my mom is coming over and we are going to prepare some of the side dishes ahead of time and then all I have to do is heat them up for thanksgiving dinner. I hopefully then will get a couple of hours in for scrapping!!
Is everyone getting ready for the Black Friday Sales? Where is everyone going to go? I haven't decided if I will go out yet. I usually do NOT go out. I HATE crowds and I can usually find really good buys right before Christmas, but who knows maybe I will surprise myself and go out! I did see some online stores that are having bargins so maybe I will do shopping online.
WOW-yesterday was a busy day for handing out awards. I received 3 of them-one from Carrie, Becky, and Sharla--WOW guys thanks so much for thinking of me and liking my blog. I will be posting my 8 things about myself and passing on later in the week. But I wanted to give a shout out to these 3 awesome ladies!
Thanks for stopping by today! I truly appreciate all your kind comments. Thanks a lot! I will be back tomorrow with a look at what I am working on. Plus I list the top 3 things that I am thankful for! See ya tomorrow!

Hi, Mary Love your cards! lol look like you got the award from me too. I listed you on my blog.
Incredible cards. You did a wonderful job on them. Congrats on your award.
Adorable card! Congrats on the award.
Your cards look great, I wish I could bite the bullet and switch to Copics. I'm just not there yet! Don't think I'll be shopping on Friday either. We typically put the trees up on that day, but we started early this year so not sure what we'll be doing. Have an awesome day and congrats on your award! ;-)
I really love both of those cards.
It has been busy with the awards, I received 2 and just thinking up my answers, thats the hard part.
I have been colouring with the sharpies which I am having fun with, but going to look for some flesh tones in the copics.
thanks for sharing that thanksgiving card very nice...
