Happy Tuesday and New Year's Eve!
Today is a sad day for me because it is my last post over at the Imaginisce Blog. I can't believe how fast this year went. Imaginisce was absolutely a dream come true. I have loved their products since I started scrapping. So my task was to pick my favorite projects from the last year. So here they are! I have a mixture of layouts, home décor and a card for you.
I have so loved this year and the experience of being on the Design Team. I was so lucky!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I will be back tomorrow with the brand new January 2014 challenge from Some Odd Girl! See you next year!!

Monday MME December Sketch Challenge
Happy Monday!
I have not really scrapped lately. We have been too busy and I have been playing tennis everyday, but I did find some time on Sunday to enter the My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge. It has been a LONG time since I have had the time to play with their challenges and it felt awesome getting to play with their yummy papers. Here is a look at the sketch.
I broke into my stash and found the Cut and Paste collection that I bought in the summer. I have not had a chance to play with these fun papers. Here is my take on the sketch.
I stayed really close to the sketch. It was really a great sketch and perfect for my large photo of Jack from the summer of 2012.

Friday CASE Sketch Challenge 12/27
Happy Friday!
I am playing along today with CAS[E] This Sketch. Have you seen this site before? I follow many of the DT blogs but this is the first time for playing along. Here is the sketch that inspired me.
I needed to make a card for Jack's teacher. She wrote a wonderful note to me about Jack and it really just touched me. I didn't want to send an email because they are so impersonal. So what is a crafty girl to do? That's right make a card. I broke out my TAWS and created this card.
I started by scoring my 110 lb. Core'dinations smooth cardstock. I then stamped my message and colored in the books with my spectrum noir makers. I then pop dotted the little apple. Finally I added some of my favorite pearls from Doodlebug. LOVE the clean look to this!
supplies
cardstock- Core'dinations
stamps- the alley way stamps
pearls - doodlebug
markers- spectrum noir

Wednesday TAWS #44 and Retro Sketches
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
The day is finally here! I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
I have a new card to share with you today and I am entering it into 2 different challenges. The first inspiration is the new TAWS Be Inspired photo. I loved this photo! However, I already had all my Christmas cards done. Sooooooo I took away with it the colors of the pink, light blue and red. With this I knew I was going to use my Let's Chill stamp set.
To see all the wonderful details from this challenge please go HERE!
Next, I needed a little bit of mojo. I was in the mood but needed a starting point. Soooo I looked at my some sketch sites and saw this amazing sketch from Retro Sketches.
To see all the details of this challenge please go HERE.
Now for my card I stuck VERY closely to the sketch. I broke out my October Afternoon paper to go with the color scheme and I picked one of my favorite stamp sets. I colored my snowmen using my Spectrum Noir markers. I stitched all my rays together. Finally I added my sentiment and then used some snowflakes to go around the cutie!
supplies
paper-October afternoon
cardstock- Core'dinations
stamps- the alley way stamps
ink- memento, jenni bowlin

Tuesday Core'dinations Santa's Helper
Happy Christmas Eve!
Do you have any traditions for Christmas Eve? We go to lunch with my Mom! I am really excited and then I have to start cooking for Christmas brunch and dinner! Love it.
Today I have a new layout to share using Core'dinations cardstock. I wanted a very Clean and Simple look to this layout so that the photo is the main focus.
I started with a white base. I then cut my top and bottom borders using my Silhouette. I then tore the edges. I then layered it on a green strip and tore those edges. Next I matted my photo with the same green and ran it through my snowflake embossing folder. I then made a journaling card using the silhouette and once again backed it using the green. I added my title and added just a hint of embellishments: a doily and wood veneer snowflakes. I love how this turned out.
The photo is at my son's Christmas party. I was able to be a homeroom mom because our breaks started on different days. Can I tell you how excited I was! Jack looked so cute with his Santa hat!
supplies
Core'dinations cardstock

Monday Core'dination Christmas Tags
Happy Monday!
Did you have a nice weekend! I sure did! It was just nice knowing that I don't have school on Monday! I was able to get a lot of tennis in. I had my best match ever on Sunday! I won in a 3rd set tie-breaker! I think it was the best I have ever played. I also did some relaxing! I did not even set foot in my craft room. It was really nice! LOL!!
Today I have some tags that I made using Core'dinations. I made a set of three.
Starting from left to right. I first cut out a tag and only embossed the bottom half. I then ran a strip through my crimpers and then sanded it. Next I cut out a strip and used a punch. I stamped my sentiment and then added some twine yummy twine.
For my second tag I started with a Core book mark and heat embossed some snowflakes. I then got inky with some Tim Holtz inks. To top it off I added a banner sentiment from Imaginisce and tied some solid twine!
For my third tag I started with some Core and sanded it. I then took some white and tore it to create a snow bank. I stamped my snowman on some of the yummy 110 lb. Core cardstock. I then colored him with my spectrum noir markers. Finally I stamped my sentiment and added some more yummy twine!
supplies

I was a bit unsure if the Silhouette could cut this thicker cardstock but it did and I was so happy because it really looks awesome. For the star I used the Core Couture Glitter cardstock. As if that weren't enough bling I added some sequins.

Wednesday Let's Chill
Happy Wednesday!
We are having a secret Santa at our school and I have a person who wrote on her info sheet that she LOVES the color pink. I have been giving her little notes each day but today I wanted to make her a special card using the color pink. This is what I came up with.
I first started with my base which I made out of Core'dinations Pastel Collection. I heat embossed various snowflakes on it using The Alley Way Stamps. Next I made my snow banks. I used 3 strips of white Core cardstock and tore it. I layered it on my card using different pop dots of varying thickness. I then stamped-colored-and cut out my snowmen. I then pop dotted them onto the card. I then stamped my sentiment and finally added some centers to my snowflakes along with pearl snowflakes using my Liquid Pearls. I LOVE how it turned out and I hope she likes it too!

Weekend Snow Bird Card
Happy Weekend!
We are having a secret Santa at my school and my friend asked me to make a card. Her SS likes nature and birds and I thought of a perfect card to make. I also noticed that there were tons of challenges out this week that had the theme of snow or snowflakes and this card fit perfectly!
For my card I started with a Core'dinations blue base and ran it through my cuttlebug embossing it with my snowflakes folder. I then sanded it to bring out the dots. Next I cut out a tree using my Silhouette and lightly sanded it. I then stamped and colored a Paper Smooches bird. I then made a snow hill for the background and used the tearing technique. I then adhered the tree and placed my little bird in the tree. Next I made a smaller hill of snow using the tearing technique and pop dotted it in front.
To make the snowflakes stand out a bit I used my Ranger Liquid Pearls and made some dots on top of the embossed snowflakes. Here is a closer look at the liquid pearl dots.

Echo Park School Supplies
Hey Everyone Happy
Recently I have made some changes in my life to try to eliminate some stress. The boys are getting older which means more homework-sports-running around etc, work, daily life stuff and paper crafting. I was getting a bit overwhelmed and VERY stressed out. Something had to give and one of the things that I decided to slow down on was design team work. I LOVE my hobby but I over extended myself sooooo now I have some free time just to sit and create for ME!
One of my goals is to create for Me and my family. I do not scrap chronologically but I do hate being over a year behind in photos. I also hate that I have a TON of paper and it wasn't getting used. So I started with my paper and I had this brand new pack of Echo Park school paper so I decided to get busy. Over the next couple of weeks you will see all the projects that I created with this awesome collection.
Here is my first one--New Supplies!
I had just finished shopping last year for Jack's 1st grade school supplies. I had them all in a box ready to be marked with his initials etc. and Jack and Michael wanted to check them all out! They were so cute looking at everything and I snapped a photo.
For my layout I used the paper kit. The only things I added were the Core'dinations cardstock, some enamel dots, wood veneer and thickers. Everything else was from the kit. I fell I love with this kit when it came out over the summer and I thought it was perfect for my boys.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back on Monday with a new project. See you then. Have a wonderful and crafty weekend.

I stuck pretty close to the inspiration for my card.
I started with some Core'dinations Dark Essentials for my base and then took the new 110lb. white smooth cardstock and cut it slightly smaller. I stamped my images (using all Paper Smooches stamps) and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers. Under the sentiment I scored the cardstock. I also then "roughed" up my edges just to give it a bit of a distress look. Why did I do this? I don't know- LOL!!!

Wednesday TAWS Be Inspired #43
Hey Everyone,
The new TAWS Be Inspired challenge was announced last week and it is an awesome one. Here is the inspiration photo.
I fell in love with the colors. At first I was a bit stumped because I didn't have any stamps with snowflakes on them but then I remembered about the FREEBIES section from TAWS. There are free digi stamps available so I checked them out and found the cutest mitten and a sentiment and I knew I had to use them. I wanted to do something a but different with them soooo my mind was racing with ideas and then it came to me--- my Silhouette. I turned the mitten into mittens with the print and cut feature. I brought up the mitten in my Silhouette and then made a mirror image of it to have a pair of mittens. I then printed them and cut them out. I colored them with my spectrum noir markers using the colors in the photo.
Next, I took my sentiment Joy and turned it into a digi cut file-- I know I just LOVED this idea. The script was so pretty and now I could cut it and add it to my project. So here is how my card turned out using the digi stamps turned into print and cuts and digi cut files.
For my base of my card I started with my Core'dinations and embossed it with my Spellbinders embossing folder. Next I took the same color cardstock and cut out a tag in my Silhouette. I added the red topper to match my sentiment. I pop dotted my mittens and added a touch of twine. Next, I added my sentiment and to finish the tag off I added some natural twine and a cute clothespin. I then pop dotted it onto my card and called it a day! I love how it turned out.
supplies
cardstock- core'dinations
digi stamps- the alley way stamps
clothespin- recollections

Core Blackboard
Happy
Core'dinations gave the Design Team to create a project using the ever so popular Blackboard theme. I love this project. I created a fun card for this theme.
I started with my Black Magic cardstock and scored and sanded it. I then broke out a TON of my stamps from Hero Arts, Paper Smooches, and Some Odd Girl. I stamped them and then heat embossed them in white. Next, I heat embossed the gold sentiment. Next, I found some white ink in my stash and ever so lightly stamped some random hearts and flowers. Finally I added some gold bling. I LOVE how it turned out plus it was soooo fun to make.
Do you want to see how I made this fun card? Check out my video for Core'dinations.

For my project I used the brand new Library Mae digi stamp that will be release tomorrow! I have several family and friends that are avid readers and on my shopping list I have some new books for them. So, I thought how awesome would it be to get a new book AND a brand new bookmark using Library Mae. Here is what I came up with:
I started with a Core'dinations book mark and cut the ends to form a banner. I then added my sentiment Warm Wishes and heat embossed it. I then got inky and inked up my bookmark with some of the blues from Tim Holtz distress inks. I then added a little pattern paper from October Afternoon and then added Miss Mae! I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers. I pop dotted her on to give her a bit more dimension. Finally I added some chevron May Arts ribbon.

Friday December Moxxie Sketch
Happy Friday!
Today I have for you a new Moxxie sketch and layout. I don't know about you but I am REALLY into circles right now. It seems that everything I have been creating has at least one circle in it. So this month's sketch as a lot of circles! If you don't like circles you can make them whatever you want.
Here is my take on the sketch. One of the things that I love most about Moxxie is their sporting collections. My boys are always involved in sports and it is so nice to to grab the collection that matches the sport. My little one starte T-ball this past summer. He really doesn't like sports but his older brother has a room filled with trophies and medals from all the sports that he plays. Well, Michael felt left out so he decided to try T-ball. He wasn't thrilled about it but he really wanted that medal. The medal hangs on his wall in his room and he is soooo proud of it. The photo is of him hitting his ball. He actually was a great little hitter!
For my layout I started with my Core'dinations cardstock (Black Magic and Essentials Darks). I sanded then to bring out the inner core. I then added my pattern paper from Moxxie! The one piece was filled with circles and T-ball expressions and I took my circle punches and cut them out to make my embellishments. I then added so sequins and wood venner. Finally I used the run ons from the collection to make my title.

So I broke into my Paper Smooches Stamps and found this cute litttle beverage and I stamped it and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and added the little snowflakes and I just LOVE the sentiment. I am going to put this in hubby's lunch next week as a surprise! For the banner pieces I used some Bella Blvd. paper and washi tape!

Wednesday Core'dinations and Tombow Blog Hop
Welcome to the Core'dinations and Tombow Blog Hop!
For my project today I really wanted to get inky and messy! So, I broke out my Tim Holtz Seasonal paper and lightly sanded it to expose the impressions. I then cut out a large rectangle and replaced it with the same paper but in red and tore it to expose the Kraft writing. Next I took 2 Core tags and crumpled them up and then added some Tim Holtz distress ink and rubbed the ink all over to expose the crumpling. I really love this distress ink. I adhered these tags using the Tombow Power Tabs. I then cut out my title and added some wood veneer just to add a bit of embellishment to it. I wanted to keep the layout with a very Clean. I glued the wood veneer using the Tombow Liquid Glue.
Last Christmas my son wanted this gorgeous hand carved wooden cross. He saw it at his school's Christmas festival. It was very expensive and I told me he wasn't going to get it. My mom came by and he showed it to her and she bought it for him for Christmas. It was such a wonderful surprise for him and I was able to capture him holding it and running and hugging his Nanny! It is my favorite photo of the day. The Joy on his face is priceless!
So do you want to see how I made these tags? Check out this new video that I made for Core'dinations.

Monday Life Paper Scrapbook Sketch
Happy Monday,
I was cruising the scrapbooking blogs last week and I wanted to make a quick layout but I really didn't have any mojo. I found this sketch over at Life Paper Scrapbook- have you checked them out? I really love their magazing ( I have been published in it twice! ) and I came across this sketch challenge. It was past due but I loved the sketch so I decided to go ahead and use it anyway. Here is the sketch.
For my layout I broke out my Elle's Studio Saltwater collection and got busy! Here is what I came up with.
These are photos I took of my little one last summer at a local park. He LOVED climbing in the tubes and then popping out! I love his expression when he was coming out! I followed the sketch pretty closely and had a really fun time with it!
supplies
paper- die cuts- elle's studio
digi cut files- Some Odd Girl and Silhouette
sequins
Thanks so much for stopping by. Tomorrow is a Digi Release from Some Odd Girl so I know you are going to want to check it out! See you then. Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Sunday SOG December Monthly Challenge
Happy Sunday!
I am popping in today to bring you the brand new challenge from Some Odd Girl! Can you believe that it is December 1st today? Boy, I can't. The time is going by sooooo quickly. I wish I could slow things down and just enjoy the season! BUT I can't so I have to go with it. Right?? So let's get to this month's challenge.
December's Challenge totally ROCKS! The challenge is to create your own background for your project. No pattern paper on this one- use stamps, washi tape, mists, paints, etc. This challenge is right up my alley.
For my card I first cut out the circle arrow digi card base from Some Odd Girl. I then used it as mask and misted my base using some Heidi Swapp mists. I then used my stamps to create the rest of the card. Hello Mae is just about the cutest little girl EVER!!! I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.
You have all month to join us for this fun fun challenge. So what are you waiting for? Let's hop on over to the challenge and see all the rules and you can get started on yours! HERE
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I will be back tomorrow with a new scrapbook page! See you then. Have a wonderful and crafty day!
