Some Odd Girl Halloween Hop

Ding Dong!

Glad you decided to come and Trick or Treat with the Odd Girls! You should have arrived from Isha’s blog.  If you’ve just stumbled on our hop today, you’ll want to go back to the Some Odd Girl blog to start at the beginning. HERE
Our hop this week is full of spooktacular Halloween Tricks and Treats. Don’t worry, our tricks won’t be too scary! AND, just like trick or treating for candy, you don’t want to skip any houses…or blogs in this case!  In order to win TREATS, you must leave a comment on each of the Design Team blogs.

I have a TRICK (or TIP)  for you on the hop!  My TRICK or TIP is creating a scene with embossing folders.  I love to create cards with just cardstock and the perfect wasy to dress them up so that they look like pattern paper is to use your embossing folders.

For my project I started with some Black Magic cardstock from Core'dinations and embossed it with my clouds Darice embossing folder.  I then lightly sanded it to expose the inner core.  I then ripped so to show off the core even more!  Next I cut out a children's moon image from the Silhouette store.  Finally I colored my Witchy Tia using my Spectrum Noir markers.  Finally I stamped my sentiment using a Some Odd Girl clear stamp and banner on the back side of the core cardstock and then attached with my Tiny Attacher.

So what is next on the Halloween Hop?? Well, you are headed now to JENN'S BLOG!   for another fun Trick or Treat!  I will give you a hint --- I think it is  a treat blog!!!!

You can Trick or Treat with us thru midnight EDT on October 31. Winners will be announced Saturday Nov 2 on the Some Odd Girl blog.

Don't forget to leave a comment on all the blogs!

I hope you have fun and thanks so much for joining me today.  Happy Hopping!  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Cute Halloween card. Not many people here in the UK send cards, but it's becoming a more popular holiday every year.

Love your idea! I haven't played with the color changing inner core card stock like you used in this and now I am definitely going to have to find a store that carry's it so I can try out your idea. (Sorry if this comment is duplicated but I had to redo it because it said there was an error)

I love that cloud background - I use embossing folders a lot but don't have this one. I will have to keep my eye open for it. I have not tried sanding down the embossed designs yet, but it sure looks pretty! Happy Halloween!
