Thursday Meet Charlie

Happy Thursday Everyone,

So happy that the week is marching on!  I am totally looking forward to this weekend.  Saturday I am meeting my friend and we are going to Archiver's to crop!! Yeah!! I am so excited!!

I am finally finishing up my holiday 2011!  I don't really like to be more than a year behind.  I don't scrap chronologically but I just don't like being that far behind.  It is just my little pet peeve!  So last year our family embraced the Elf on the Shelf concept and when I brought him home the boys wanted to name him.  They came up with Charlie!  I love the name!  So Charlie had a lot of fun.  I bought him late in the season so I was only able to capture a couple of photos of him.  He loved to hide and they boys loved finding him every day!

For this layout I really broke into my stash- again using up what I already have!  I got out some October Afternoon paper from last year and from 2 years ago.  I layered it up and then used some Imaginisce Washi Tape.  I used some old Bella Blvd letter stickers for the title.  I then used some yummy twine from The Stringery and attached some of the awesome chipboard banner pieces.  Finally the last thing I did was add some flair.  I just love the flair from Shelly at A flair for buttons and the vintage Santas were awesome and just what I needed!

supplies
paper, chipboard, cut outs -october afternoon
washi tape- imaginisce
twine- the stringery
flair- a flair for buttons

I am linking up today with a great group of ladies called the Social Media Butterflies.  This month's topic is holiday projects.  If you are interested in seeing what other people have going on please feel free to hop along.

Great layout! I have to admit though. Elf on the shelf creeps me out just a tiny bit.

Charlie is adorable! I see he's getting into just the right amount of mischief. :) Love the layout and awesome banner! I need to get to work on a layout (or album, haven't decided) about our turkey on the shelf adventures.

So cute! I fall in line with gale! Someone gave us one and he has stayed in the box. :-) I keep saying I am going to put him on ebay, but that requires too much effort.

Wonderful wonderful layout as always...I especially love the banner at the top.

Such an awesome fun page!! Nice to be able to use up some of your stash. We just watched the Elf on the Shelf movie! Now that I know what it's all about I want to start the tradition too.

What a fun layout! It's so bright and happy. We don't have an elf but my friend does and I love seeing her pics each day of what mischief her elf is getting into.

Sounds like a fun weekend! I'm the same way, I don't scrap chronologically, but I stay pretty much within a year or two of photos. I already scrapped last Christmas, because I knew I would forget things if I waited a whole year.

This is such a fun layout.
As creepy as that elf looks, I love the concept.
Not sure who has more fun with him, the children or the adults thinking up new ways to interactively put him around the house :)
