Scrap Our Stash And Stamping Challenge

Hey everyone,

Hope your Saturday is going well.  So far so good here.  We are a bit busy--swim lessons, birthday party, running errands etc, but nothing too crazy!

Over at Scrap Our Stash the January Challenge was to use something "New" on the layout (it could be the word New, a New tool, a New technique, a New attitude etc)  Well I loved this one--I included 4 New things in my layout:
1.  The word new in the title
2.  A new tool--On the Edge Die from Tim Holtz
3.  A new technique
Plus I got to use my New paper from Little Yellow Bicycle--love this line!

For the title I used the word New--every year I make a page of the New Toys the kids get.  I like to see and look back at how they change via their toys, books and activities .

For my "new" technique I used my Silhouette and I welded the letters together.  I had been wanting to try this technique for awhile now but I never did.  This challenge motivated me to learn something "new" for the new year.  It actually was very easy!  I also added some of my stamps here and there just to add a bit to the layout.
Another look at the welded letters, and at the bottom you can see my NEW tool.  I got the On the Edge die by Tim Holtz. I have been wanting this die for awhile now.  I love that the scallops are not even--too fun!
Here I added a little tab with a stamped saying.

Supplies
Cardstock:  bazzill
Pattern Paper and embellies: Little Yellow Bicycle

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  I will be back next week!  Thanks for stopping by!

I love you scrapbooking style.
I saw that big foot guy when we went to the States last time. And I little boy starting crying when the toy started moving.

Adorable and a great way to preserve the day. I wish my mom did a page like this for me. I can't even remember more gifts I got as kid. Terrific! Thanks for stopping by my blog, too.

Such a cute layout, I LOVE the paper! My youngest nephew got Big Foot for Christmas and we had the best time playing with him. Ha! Sounds like you had a busy Saturday. I'm hoping to reorganize my craft room today.
