I Just Couldn't Keep It The Way It Was

Hey Everyone,

If you are in the U.S.  today is Election Day!  One of the best things about our country is our right to VOTE!  Hope everyone gets out and VOTE today!

OK-- well a couple of weeks ago I entered a Nikki Sivils challenge which was to scrap a style that you don't normally do. Click  Here for the original post. So I was putting away my layouts that I scrapped and I just couldn't put this one in the album.  The OCD in me didn't like the mix up.  Sooooo I just had to do something to make it a 12x12 and this is what I came up with.
I added a polka dot border on the top and bottom and placed it on a 12x12 cardstock.  Love it. Sorry it is a bit off--Michael came up and was getting in the way and I moved the camera.  Hope you don't mind.

I hope everyone has a great day today!  I will be back tomorrow with my Wednesday Card and some cute homemade embellishments I made this past weekend!  I just love them!  Be sure to stop by!
Thanks!

I think I like it better this way - the cardstock anchors (sp?) the page. But I thought the challenge page was cute too :)

I like both pages, but I'm with you, I just don't love scrapping in 8.5x11. It just doesn't fit with all my other stuff! But I love how you converted it!

Lol...I know that OCD feeling. You did a great job turning the page into a 12 x 12 layout.

LOL, you aren't the only one with scrappin' OCD! I've re-done pages years later that I haven't loved. :) This one looks awesome!

Gotta love the OCD! Great job!

Love the layout either way, but this one does draw more attention to the photos with the anchoring background. Much as I do like mixing it all up and doing different sizes, I tend to stick with 12x12 the most. When it works, why mess with it???? :)
