Happy Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Did you all have a great weekend?  I sure did!  Saturday was busy but I also managed to get tons done for the store!  I love it when that happens.  Then on Sunday I stayed in all day! Let me tell you I was able to some of my Must Do List accomplished.  I was able to change over Michael's closet to all Fall and Winter clothes now and box up for charity all his old Summer clothes.  This then left room to bring up my boxes from the basement for Jack's hand me downs.  I was in heaven organizing everything! When I got finished his closet was a dream-hehehehehehe--I love to organized when I have time.

We also carved one of our pumpkins.  I found a template of a bat and carved that. Michael painted his pumpkin. I also wanted to be crafty with our other pumpkins and last year I saw some ideas over on the Silhouette blog using the Silhouette Vinyl.  So I got out my vinyl and my Silhouette and went to town!  I felt like Martha Stewart-hehehehehe  Here is what crafty goodness I came up with.

I think they came out so cute! I love them all!  I love using my crafty supplies to make household fun things!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I will be back tomorrow with a new project.  See you then!

Wednesday Card Halloween part 5

Happy Wednesday!

How are things going?  OK here.  I have really been on a roll lately and I love it.  Getting work done, scrappin' in each night, and hanging with the family.  I have volunteered to watch my cousin's son afternoon after school.  He attends the same school as Jack but he is in the 2nd grade.  I was heart broken when my cousin told me that her son is being bullied after school at the after school program.  She had spoken to the teachers a couple of weeks ago but nothing really happened and now it is worse.  It just makes me sick when children can be so cruel to one another.  So I said I will watch him until she can get his old daycare to pick him up.  Bullying just makes me so angry!!

A Monday Nikki Sivils Challenge

Happy Monday,

Did everyone have a great weekend?  We did!  Hubby was home and we got some relaxing in along with going to a fall festival.  The boys had a blast!  We had a really good time.  Didn't get much crafting in though but hopefully this week I can squeak some in!

Over at Nikki Sivils they have their new challenge up and let me tell you this was very very hard for me.  I LOVED it.  The challenge is to create something in a size that you don't normally use.  For example if you normally make a 4.25 x 5.5 card than make a card that is a circle or a 5x5 square or if you scrap 12x12 then scrap a different size.  Well that is what I did!  I haven't scrapped 8.5 x 11 for almost 12 years now--wow that it is a long time-hehehehehehheh and so I made this layout (I was really stepping out of my comfort zone here) which is 8.5x11 turned horizontally.

Supplies
Everything is School is Cool except the twine from the Twinery

At the boy's day care they had a  grandparent's tea this past summer.  Michael had a blast with my mom.  He was so impressed with his crown that he made he wore if for DAYS!!!!

I thought School is Cool was just perfect for this layout.  It is such a fun line and I can't resist the little book worm.  He is just too cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I will be back tomorrow with a new project!  Thanks so much!  See you then!

The October Imaginisce Challenge

Hey Everyone,

Happy Friday! I am so excited that today is Friday because my hubby comes home late tonight.  He has been away on a business trip and I can't wait!!!  The boys have really been missing him but they won't see him till Saturday morning.

Anyone have any fun plans?  We have a light schedule for once.  Jack's swim class has a week off and he only has his football game in the afternoon and then on Sunday no football because the Bengals have the week off.  Soooo-- I want to go see Disney on Ice.  I don't know if I will be able to get anyone to come with--who knows or I could just hang out and relax.  We shall see.

Well you know it is the end of the month when I enter my monthly Imaginisce challenge.  You know I love these.  A couple of months ago I started my "Building a Volcano" layouts. (click HERE to see part one).  Well I need to finish up part 2 and I thought this month's sketch was perfect for it!

A Halloween Card Wednesday Part 4

Happy Wednesday.

I am so happy this week is moving along!  I really want the weekend. hehehehehe

Have you been able to create and be craftly this week.  I have been so lucky that it has been rainy each day and the boys and I have gone downstairs.  I have been working hard on a couple of card challenges and loving playing with all the fall paper and embellishments.  I think fall is my most favorite to scrap.  I just love everything!

My third installment of my Halloween Cards.  Again I used my scraps left over from my paper pack from Echo Park.  Jack has asked me if he can have this one to give to his teacher so of course I said yes!  I just love it that he is getting into it this year!

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you tomorrow with a card challenge for Card Cupids.  See you all then!

A Beach Layout on Tuesday!

Hey everone!
Just popping in today to say hey.  Are you going to get any crafting in today?  I am going to try after school today.  I have made 2 sketches and I am ready to get scrappin' after school.   Even though I did a bunch of work for the store this past weekend, and made Halloween decorations with Jack I just want to scrap a bit!

Last week I had the companion layout using the 3Bugs in a Rug summer line.  I apoligize that the picture is a little crooked but I didn't have time to fix it--I don't think you mind do you?

I love this picture of hubby and Jack.  The two of them would take a walk everday looking for sea shells.

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back tomorrow!  See you all then!

Happy Monday

Hello and Happy Monday to Everyone,

How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful! Friday I had my crop and as I suspected I worked on store stuff all night, but I was ok with that because I could work with my little cherubs interrupting me. heheheheh On Saturday I had my sketch class and had a ball and then Jack and I started to decorate the house for Halloween. I will post pictures when we are all done. I had so much fun crafting with him! Then hubby and I had a date night! Oh it was so much fun! Sunday we hung out in the morning and then hubby and Jack went to the Bengals game and Michael and I hung out. We had an awesome time. I got so much stuff done--paying bills, making dinner, reading etc. I loved every minute! I feel recharged for this upcoming week!

I am up today over at Burlap and Buttercups with my monthly sketch and layout!  I had so much fun creating with this awesome kit.

A Fun Friday Challenge

Hello!

Who is glad it is Friday?  I know I am!!!  What is everyone doing this weekend?  Any scrapping plans??  I am going to my monthly crop.  I can't wait!  However, I don't know how much scrapping I am going to be doing.  I have tons of work at the store to do.  So I know the first hour or so is going to be working on getting all the Christmas lines photographed and ready to post on the blog for my November posts.  Once I have that done I need to create 3 double page layouts for my December sketch class.  I am really excited about this class.  I am using the Crate Paper collection. Then I can finally get working on my stuff. I have 2 challenges I would like to work on so I am pretty excited.

Have you heard about  Card Cupids  This is such an awesome organization.  They send cards to children in need of a little pick me up.  I have been wanting to participate for the longest time but have never had the time and when I saw this challenge I new I had to try.

The challenge is to create a card using your favorite punch.  You know I love punches and currently my favorite punch is the  EK Success postage stamp border punch.  I know it is hard to tell from the angle of the card (sorry about that one) but the green border above and below the brown strip has the postage stamp border.

Supplies
paper-3Bugs in a Rug
twine- the twinery
buttons-paper trey ink
stamp-hero arts, some odd girl
marker- copic
tools- ek success border punch

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will be back on Monday with a sketch challenge for Burlap and Buttercups.  I hope to see you there!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wednesday Card Part 3

Happy Wednesday!

How is this wonderful Wednesday?  So far so good here!  I had an awesome time last night.  My mojo was flowing.  I made a 2 page layout for the store and a matching card.  I then started on a card for a challenge that I am hoping to enter this Friday.  I love it when things just come together!  Don't you?

Nothing else is happening on our end.  I like it that way!

This is my 3rd Halloween card that I made  using my scraps from last year's Echo Park Halloween line.  For this one I added a Silhouette spider.  I think it is so cute.  I just drew in the spider web line and added a Hero Arts sentiment.  I think it is really cute.

supplies
paper-echo park
stamps-hero arts
die cut- silhouette
ink-hero arts

I hope everyone has a great day today.  Are you going to get any crafting in?  I  hope to finish my card that I started yesterday and get it ready to post for Friday.    Thanks so much for stopping by! I will see you all on Friday!

Monthly Scrap Class

Happy Tuesday,

Did you all have a great Monday yesterday?  I did and it was awesome!  I finally got to go down to my scrap room.  The boys were so excited to play downstairs in their playroom after school  We had been so busy and we were playing outside that we hadn't been down in close to a week.  I have a couple of kits from the store that I am working on.  So it was so fun to just to play!

I also did a little bit of organizing.  Like I said yesterday I do not scrap choronologically.  So therefore I sometimes forget about certain pictures that were taken months-maybe even a year ago.  So I went through all my photos (I keep them organized in a folder for each month), and I made a master list of all the photos that I would still like to scrap.  Tonight I am going to add to the list with pictures on my cell phone that need to be printed and scrapped. My question to you is if you scrap out of order -how do you remember all the photos that need to be scrapped?

On Saturday I have my monthly scrap class.  Saturday I will feature 3 layouts using the Echo Park Apothecary Emporium line.  This is a really great line.  I really liked working with it.  The class is for the frugal scrapper for only $15.  If you can I hope to see you at Simply Scrapbooks

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.  I will be back tomorrow with my third installment of my Halloween cards.  I hope to see you all then.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

My little Cupcake!

Happy Monday!
Oh I wish I had another day for the weekend.  We were so busy I would just love one day to relax a bit.  Saturday I taught my class and then met the "guys" at Jack's flag football game.  He looked so cute out there.  Then we just hung out until it was time to go out to eat.  We always go out to eat on Saturday nights.  The chef ( that is me) is Off Duty for one night a week!  Then on Sunday we all packed up and went to Kings Island for the day.  The weather was perfect 75 degrees and partly sunny.  We all had a blast!  Next time we go will be the summer of 2012.  Wow I can't believe it.

Several weeks ago I was able to do some scrapping of my own.  I do not scrap chronologically but I do every once in awhile make sure that I had scrapped everything from the past months.  I realized that I had missed these super cute photos of my Michael making cupcakes.  He had such an awesome time using the sprinkles, and I had the perfect paper for the layout!

supplies
cardstock- bazzill
paper- little yellow bicycle
chipboard-little yellow bicycle

I am excited that I have a "normal" week this week.  I am looking forward to maybe getting some crafting done.  I didn't get anything done last week and I am itching to get in my scrap room!.  What does your schedule look like?  Going to get any scrapping in?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I will be back tomorrow with another project.  See you then!

A Layout on Friday!

Happy Friday!  I am soooo happy that the weekend is here!  This has just been a killer week, and it looks like we have a busy weekend as well.  I think though it is going to be fun.  We are having  awesome weather right now and I want to take advantage of every minute of it!!  Saturday I have my Doodlebug class in the morning.  I then am going to kit for next week's sketch class, pick paper for the December sketch class and my Doodlebug Christmas card class.  Lots going on!  Hubby will be taking the boys to Jack's swimming class, and then the entire family will go to Jack's first flag football game of the season.  I can't wait.  Sunday we are going to go to the Halloween fest at King's Island ( an amusement park).  The have all kind of fun things for the kids to do in the park.  I can't wait.  Plus it will be our last chance to ride the rides.  Love that!  I also have a couple of hours working on work for the store's blog and facebook page.  We are going to be having a contest and I have to get things set up.   So unfortunately not much crafting going on again, but you know me, I like a break now and then so this is actually good for me.

3 Bugs in a Rug came out with a late summer line. I made a couple of projects for my DT work at the store.  These are some of my favorite photos from our trip to Florida this summer.  Jack had no idea that I was taking these photos and I just love it when that happens.

This layout is a very clean and simple one.  I love the clean lines -- no clutter here.
Supplies
cardstock-bazzill
paper- 3 Bugs in a Rug
die cuts- 3 Bugs in a Rug

Do you have any fun fall activities this weekend?  I hope you have a great one!  I will see you all back here on Monday.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wednesday Card-Halloween Part 2

Hey there,
How is you week going?  Mine is pretty jammed packed.  This week we have 3 consecutive days of meetings after school.  Today we have late afternoon and night conferences.  I  won't get home tonight till close to 8:00 pm.  I will get to see Jack but I won't get to see Michael at all today and then tomorrow I have a meeting after school so I will be really late in picking up the boys.  I hate it when this happens.  I miss them already!!!

No crafting on my part this week so far.  So glad that I got such a head start on my cards last January at one of my Friday night crops.  All I did was work on Halloween Cards.  Everyone thought I was crazy but now I am so happy and I don't have any pressure to get them done!  Here is this week's card.

Sorry the picture is a touch cooked.

Supplies
paper- echo park
sticker-echo park
bats- hero arts stamps
sentiment- hero arts stamps
ink- hero arts

I hope everyone has a great day.  I will be back on Friday with a new layout.  See you then!

Doodlebug Card Class

Happy Monday,

So how was your weekend?  Ours was great!  Saturday I got all my work done for the week for Simply Scrapbooks facebook and blog page.  I was able to make a cute card for World Card Making Day.  I was able to put up a fun sketch on the Burlap and Buttercups blog--check it out HERE  Stop on over there and play along with us!

Then on Sunday "the guys" went to the Bengals game and my mom came over and we did some shopping in the morning.  We went to Target.  I am obsessed with closet hangers right now.  I feel like Joan Crawford "NO Wire Coat Hangers!!!!!!!!!!!"  Sorry if you are under a certain age where you have NO idea what I am referring to but I am obsessed.  I want all the hangers to be the same. So I have been slowly replacing all of them for our closet.  I also went to Kohl's.  A new Kohl's just open literally across the street from me.  I am in LOVE.  At our old house we had one close but at our new house I had to drive a 1/2 hour.  With my savers pass--I spent $600 regularly but then with the discounts and everything it came to $230--Oh Yeah!!! I am the queen of bargain shopping!!!!

The rest of the day I spent relaxing, playing with Michael, cooking, and a touch of crafting!  I can't ask for anything better!!

This Saturday I am teaching my Halloween Doodlebug Card Class.  I am pretty excited.  I really love these cards! I think they are sooo cute!

I hope everyone has a fantastic day today.  I will be back tomorrow with a new project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
