What a fun Weekend + a layout+ some exciting news!

Hello everyone,
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  I know my weekend was SUPER busy but it was so much fun.  Saturday I got everything done on my list and the party was a success.  We all had so much fun.  Family is certainly the best! There is nothing like being surrounded by family.  Santa came and visited this year.  Here is a quick picture. This is Santa with Michael.  Michael wasn't too pleased with sitting on his lap.

On Sunday I went to the Hero Arts debut and class with Jennifer Mcguire.  It was so much fun!  We made a ton of cards.  I had to leave early because we were getting a snow storm and I had a 1/2 hour drive to get home.  Jennifer was so sweet and I need to email her to get the directions for the 3 cards that I missed.  I still need to take pictures of everything and then I will be posting some of the projects. It was so awesome.  I also bought some new stamps.  I will post those as well later in the week.

On to my layout!
Pumpkin Patch

Well here is my layout -- I can't believe I am still finishing  up with the fall.  I have 2 more layouts to do and then I am officially done with fall festivals, pumpkin picking and Halloween.  We just do so much during this season that it takes me forever to get it all done.

Here we are at the pumpkin farm.  Jack was picking the perfect pumpkin.  For this layout I dug deep into my stash of paper to use up a really old Basic Grey line.  I believe this paper is 4 years old but it is one of my favorites.  And of course I layered all the different patterns etc. 

 For the title I did once again us my Silhouette and layered several titles on top of each other to make that faux chipboard look.  I really like that.

Capture the Moment

Happy Saturday!
Saturday is finally here and I need to get so many things done!  Here is my list in no order:
1. clean the basement (clear out a bunch of toys--we will have about 15 kids here today and I don't want them to make a mess of things)
2.  clean up my scrap room--just remove all the cutters and sharp things
3. clean the first floor and polish the hardwood floors
4. clean the upstairs
5.clean all the bathrooms--this is the part I hate!!!
6. Go to grocery and buy last minute things for party
7. make the appetizers and desserts
8. wrap the 2 little presents for the boys
9.  some how rest!!
10. send hubby on errands to get the beverages etc.
11. color hair--too much grey is showing and I can't have that!!!
12.  get dressed and look all pretty!
13.  set everything out and wait for the guests!
14.  Have fun!!!!

I keep saying--"I know I can do this--I know I can do this!!!"

Capture the Moment

I just love these pictures!  I am actually getting them framed to put in our living room.  Mom, the kids and I all went to the farm to pick out our pumpkins and they had some donkeys.  Mom and the boys went to walk over there and I took these pictures--Oh I just love them!

So to make this layout I used the Imaginisce Apple Cider collection--just love that line--can't get enough of it!

Little Yellow Bicycle Savor Contest

I am so happy that today is Friday, but I look at my weekend ahead and I just cringe!  So much to do, but I know it will all get done.  There is no choice. Hubby said that he will help out on Saturday so that is awesome!  Plus only 2 days till my big class with the new Hero Arts stamps--OOOOOH I can't wait!

So it is going to be another quick post today!

Well I did it again. I entered another contest.  I made this layout for the Little Yellow Bicycle Savor Challenge.  You had to create a layout using the Savor Collection.  This line is really pretty!  This is a picture of myself and my mom on Thanksgiving.  This is the second year that Thanksgiving is at my house.  My mom has been slowly handing over all the cooking to me: however, she still likes to cook a couple of the side dishes.  So therefore we have 2 Cooks for Thanksgiving!

What am I Working On?

Wow can you believe it is Thursday? I am loving that time is going by quickly. I really need my break to come here.  I need to wrap all the presents and it is IMPOSSIBLE  to wrap with the kids in the house.  So I have one more week and a day and then hello break!  I can't wait!

Well can you believe this?  I don't have anything right now that I am working on.  I got sooo much done last week (completed 6 projects--i think that is a  record).  I worked like a dog to get everything done so that this week I have NOTHING on my desk.  I have the big Christmas Party on Saturday and then on Sunday I have the debut of the Hero Arts new stamp catalogue and Jennifer Mcguire's class for 3 1/2 hours so I don't like to have projects on my desk when I can't be there.  Plus it is nice to have a break! 

This is my cutting and sewing station--and yes, it is clear!  I love it!

What is your desk like--is it always messy with a lot going on or do you keep it nice and tidy?  Mine is a mess when I have a project going on, but once it is done I clean everything up and make it all nice and clean.  I love it this way.  I then put out the pictures I am going to use for the next project and get to work.  There is just something about a nice clean desk.  I am that way at school too.  Every night before I leave I have my desk all clean and organized so that when I come in the next day it is perfect--and then I make it a mess during the day.

So what is anyone working on these days?  Anything big and exciting?  During my time off I have a couple of challenges I want to enter and they have an end of the month due date.  So I am sure come Monday my desk will be crazy again!

Christmas Card 2--HO HO HO!

Hey there,

It is Wednesday--hooray! School has been busy this week.  Plus my friend is having twins and I have been making some cling vinyl with their names to put on the wall.  This is my baby present to them.  We have the big O'Brien Christmas Party also.  I am trying to get the house in order for me to really scrub it clean--boy does it need it.

This is going to be a really quick post today--So lets get to it! Todays card is another one using the A Muse stamps and paper.  First I stamped the image of Santa and Rudolf and colored him in using copic markers. I just they are so darn cute!  I do love Santa! and then layered the card.  I think this is my favorite this year!

My Picture of the Week + some odds n ends stuff

This past Wednesday we got our first little bit on snow.  It was about a 1/4 inch on the grass and Jack had so much fun.  As soon as we got home from school he wanted to put on his snow pants and boots and get outside to play.  Oh my golly did he have fun!  We have a swing set and he was flying off the slide because there was a touch of ice on it.  He had a blast.  I don't think the smile ever left his face.  I was able to capture this photo of him right when he got outside. It seeemed like it was the only moment he wasn't running around.  I just love this picture.  You can see the joy on his face!  I can't wait to scrap it!  I just love to see children enjoying the simple things in life!

Page Maps My Little Shoe Box Challenge + Scrap the Moments

Happy Monday Everyone!
How was your weekend?  I know mine was great!  Michael and I ran errands all morning on Saturday.  He is such a trooper and then I was done for the rest of the weekend!  It was awesome!  I finished up all my projects that I was working on and then I was able to read by the fire place on Sunday after the kids went to bed.  That is heaven to me!  There is nothing like having a warm fire going and to be curled up on the couch with hubby.  I love it!

Now on to scrapping!

You know me I love a new challenge and I found this one from Page Maps and the sponsor is My Little Shoe Box.  I saw this sketch and I knew I had to enter. It is a really great sketch and I had the perfect papers and pictures to use with it.  I also put my touch on the sketch with layering all the pattern paper and blocking it with cardstock.  I always find it funny that a lot of the time my work never comes out looking like the sketch--but that is the fun of it!

My Little Monkey!

I just love these pictures of Michael on Halloween Night.  He just LOVES Curious George and he was SO excited to be a monkey.  He loved the banana in the pocket.  He loved Halloween.  He kept walking around going "Candy peas"  even though he had never had a piece of candy in his life--too funny!

I just love the Echo in the Park paper.  I just love all the different patterns and colors.  And as you can see I tried to incorporate as much as I can.
