Wednesday Core'dinations Thankful Gobble Gobble

Happy Wednesday,

I love to decorate my mantle for the seasons.  I thought I would add to it this year with a handmade home decor piece this year.  I new I wanted to used the Tim Holtz Shattered Core Cardstock.  I love this cardstock and there are so many colors that just scream fall.

I started with picking out my frame.  I have a ton that I have bought with my Michael's coupons.  I loved the rounded frame.  I then picked out my cardstock and cut it with my Silhouette.  I used some of the Silhouette cutting files.

 A close up view

I love how it turned out.  The colors just worked perfectly with what I already had!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a Thanksgiving day card using some yummy core!  Gobble Gobble!  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Happy Tuesday

You know what today is??? The digi release from Some Odd Girl!  I have the new digi cut files to share with you today.  I am in LOVE with these cards.  The are sooo useful.  They are just not for card making and project life but they look awesome on layouts as well.

I used 2 out of the 3 cards on my layout.  This is a layout of my son running in the waves in Florida on vacation last year.  I used the Elles' Studio Saltwater collection for this layout and then added the awesome cards.  They worked so well.

Monday Imaginisce Christmas Release Week

Happy Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend?  Oh man, did I ever!  On Saturday we had Michael's birthday with his Grandmothers and then for the rest of the weekend it was rest and relaxation time.  I did a small bit of crafting- a card for a challenge(Friday's post) and some blogging and that was about it.  Lots of time with my guys!

This week Imaginisce is having the release of their new Christmas collection and let me say that this collection is so totally awesome!  I made two items for the release.  First up a fun layout.  The boys and I sit down and we come up with our Letters To Santa.  Jack can write his and Michael cuts out and pastes his photos of what he wants from Santa.  We have a fun time and I captured this event.
Supplies
paper, bling, diecuts - imaginisce
cardstock- core'dinations
alpha stickers- jillibean soup
mist- glimmer mist and Heidi swap

Next I made a really CAS card using the Snap Em stamps.
I matched the colors in the paper with my inks and then stamped the snowflakes randomly.  I then added some bling with my I Rock.  Finally I added one of the banner sentiments.

I Rock, stamp, die cut- imaginisce
ink- jenni bowlin

Thanks  so much for stopping by today.  I have a new layout to share tomorrow for the Some Odd Girl digi release!  See you then.  Have a wonderful and scrappy day.

Friday SOG NING COMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Happy Friday!

I made to Friday.  I didn't think I was going to make it.  TGIF!!!!!

Today we start a fun weekend of challenges over at the Some Odd Girl Ning Community.  I am kicking it off with the first challenge!  So are you ready?????

The challenge is to create a project - other than a card or tag and use at least one SOG  digi cut file and/or one SOG stamp.  Here is my project.

For my project I the SOG speech bubble cut file.  I pulled up the speech bubbles using my Silhouette and then I added a part of my titles in the center of it to create some negative space.  I also used 2 SOG stamps- the long brown arrow and the bottom of the page and the red heart near the love note tag.  I love incorporating my SOG stamps and cut files into my scrapping!  I love getting the most of my supplies and it combines my favorite things- scrapbooking and stamping!  What could be better?

So let's get busy. Head on over to the SOG Ning Community and click on my post challenge in the forum section.  Can't wait to see you work.  (The challenge will be posted around 9:00 am est)

Supplies

tags- elle's studio
rub ons- glitz
stamps and cut files- SOG

Thursday Fall Card with Moxxie.

Happy Thursday,

Today is a special day for me.  5 years ago today my Michael was born.  He was such a wonderful surprise to our family.     I was very nervous about this pregnancy because I was 42 years old.  The doctor told me I was high risk due to my age.  I was very nervous.  I did not let myself get excited until I reached the 5 month mark.  We had other miscarriages well into the 4th month before so I didn't want to get my hopes up.  With Jack I was on bed rest for months.  But after 8 months of worrying my little one was born and he was just perfect.  I truly believe that God had a plan for us and it was Michael.  Happy Birthday my little one I love you to pieces.

Now back to crafting! LOL!!
This is a fall card I made using the Fall collection from Moxxie!  I used one of the 3x4 cards as the main focus for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a fun layout using some digi cut files and stamps from Some Odd Girl!  See you then,  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Moxxie has a wonderful Fall collection out right now and it is really great because there is a sheet of 4x6 and 3x4 cards that are just perfect for Project Life.  Now I have mentioned before that right now I am just using the page protectors as a way to add more photos into my albums.  Here is what I came up with.
Once again so sorry for the glare.  I just can't seem to get a photo without a glare.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a new project.  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day.
