Tuesday SOG Digi Release

Happy Tuesday!

Tuesday means that it is the Some Odd Girl Digi Stamp Release day and there are TWO awesome new releases.  The first one is Puppy Gwen and she is just about THE cutest thing ever!!
For my paper I used Core'dinations cardstock and then cut and layered some yummy Bella Blvd paper. I then stamped my sentiment using one of the Some Odd Girl clear stamps on a jounaling card and made it into a banner.  Finally I colored the beautiful Gwen with my Spectrum Noir markers.  So very cute!

The next release is a digi cut file and I think this set is a MUST have for any type of crafter!  Speech Bubbles!  Here is a look at one of the bubbles with a clean and Simple card!
I first embossed my Core'dinations cardstock and then found a a 3x4 card in my stash that I wanted to use and then I cut out my speech bubble and stamped my Hello sentiment using a clear Some Odd Girl stamp.  Very Easy Peasy but so cute!

Be sure to stop by the Some Odd Girl Shop and pick up some of these new releases!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with an Imaginisce Halloween Project.  See you then!

Some Odd Girl Halloween Hop

Ding Dong!

Glad you decided to come and Trick or Treat with the Odd Girls! You should have arrived from Isha’s blog.  If you’ve just stumbled on our hop today, you’ll want to go back to the Some Odd Girl blog to start at the beginning. HERE
Our hop this week is full of spooktacular Halloween Tricks and Treats. Don’t worry, our tricks won’t be too scary! AND, just like trick or treating for candy, you don’t want to skip any houses…or blogs in this case!  In order to win TREATS, you must leave a comment on each of the Design Team blogs.

I have a TRICK (or TIP)  for you on the hop!  My TRICK or TIP is creating a scene with embossing folders.  I love to create cards with just cardstock and the perfect wasy to dress them up so that they look like pattern paper is to use your embossing folders.

For my project I started with some Black Magic cardstock from Core'dinations and embossed it with my clouds Darice embossing folder.  I then lightly sanded it to expose the inner core.  I then ripped so to show off the core even more!  Next I cut out a children's moon image from the Silhouette store.  Finally I colored my Witchy Tia using my Spectrum Noir markers.  Finally I stamped my sentiment using a Some Odd Girl clear stamp and banner on the back side of the core cardstock and then attached with my Tiny Attacher.

So what is next on the Halloween Hop?? Well, you are headed now to JENN'S BLOG!   for another fun Trick or Treat!  I will give you a hint --- I think it is  a treat blog!!!!

You can Trick or Treat with us thru midnight EDT on October 31. Winners will be announced Saturday Nov 2 on the Some Odd Girl blog.

Don't forget to leave a comment on all the blogs!

I hope you have fun and thanks so much for joining me today.  Happy Hopping!  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Thursday Scrapbooking with Some Odd Girl

Happy Thursday,

One of my favorite things to do is to get the most out of my supplies!  So this means using stamps and digi files on my scrapbooking layouts.  I LOVE using my Some Odd Girl supplies (which you commonly thing of "card" supplies) on my scrapbooking layouts.  I am up today on the Some Odd Girl with a sketch, layout and video.  Here is a look at my sketch:
For my layout I used 2 different digi files (the circles and the star background) and I used my favorite Make a Statement sentiment collection.

This is a video of how I put this whole layout together.
I would love it if you stopped by the Some Odd Girl Blog and left a litte love if you have time.

The layout is of my little one and he was sitting on the steps one day with all his "friends" (his stuffed animals) and was just pretend playing with them and I came up and asked his to look up and I snapped the photo.

Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

So how has your week going? So far so good here.  Last week was a wild and crazy week and I was totally stressed out but this week things so be calming down a bit and getting back to normal.  I must say though I am ready for the weekend already- lol!!!

I had some time to scrap just for me last month and this is a layout that I created with some of the new Bella Blvd and Core'dinations cardstock.  I have been on a spending freeze for the last year.  ( I really need to use up my stash BUT this collection looked so awesome when I was at Archiver's that I splurged!)  First, I started with my Core cardstock and scored a square around the center square and sanded it just a bit.  Next I layered my cardstock.  I did break into my Bella Stash and pulled out some crochet flowers, some stick pins, and some stickers so I felt great about using some old with the new! The photos are of the boys playing in the front yard last summer running through the sprinkler.  I love it when something so simple gives them huge smiles on their faces and hours of fun!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back tomorrow with a Some Odd Girl Tutorial.  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Happy Tuesday,

It is Tuesday and that can only mean one thing!  The new Digi Release from Some Odd Girl.  This is a great release because there are digi stamps AND new cut files!!    If you love fall than you are going to LOVE this new release.

For my card today I used the new Digi Cut Files- a set of 3 project life style cards that are 3x4.  I just love them.  I used my Core Cardstock and cut it out.  I then sanded it to give it a distress feel.  I then backed the negative space with Bella Blvd. pattern paper.  For my new Digi stamp I used Fall Mae.  I just love her fall outfit.  I colored her with some darker colors- this is out of my comfort area.  I usually color with more of the pastel colors but the fall needs the darker one.

Thursday Core'dinations Your Day

Happy Thursday

Do  you ever get worried that you are behind in  your scrapping?   I don't for the most part.  I know a lot of people feel nervous if they are behind but I don't.  For example this was a photo that I have loved for over a year now.  It hangs on my wall at school.  I love these guys so much! This photo was taken last year on Father's day (2012).  I have been wanting to scrap it but I just haven't gotten around to it.  So when I was looking for a project for Core'dinations I came across this and said this is the one!

For my layout I first started out scoring my cardstock.  I then cut the circle mat from my Silhouette.  I then punched the negative space using some Core Cardstock and then a couple pattern pieces from Fancy Pants.  After filling the negative space I then layered my photo using some pattern paper from Fancy pants, some tabs from Elle's Studio and tags from Core!  I then randomly placed some embellies and some word stickers on some of the circles.  Finally I added a frame and the title.

Tuesday Some Odd Girl October Challenge and Some Fun News!

Happy Tuesday

I was so excited to find out that I was asked to come back to Some Odd Girl for a second term.  As you know I am totally over the moon about SOG digi stamps, clear stamps and cut files!  Everything about SOG just makes me so  happy so this news was to exciting!!  I hope you enjoy the next 6 months of fun because I know I am!

The new SOG Monthly Challenge is up today and we are shaking things up just a bit and we will be doing different types of challenges.  For our first one the Ombre look is so hot right now and the challenge is to create a project that features the Ombre look or featuring one color.

When I first say the challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to use--- PINK!  Having boys I never get to use pink so when i was looking at my stamps I knew I wanted to use the adorable donut and t hought of pink icing.  So then I found 3 different colors of pink ranging from light to dark.  I used my Core'dinations Cardstock and lightly sanded them.  I then used a SOG digi cut file to create the so on trend triangle background.  I used the negative space with my cardstock.  I then stamped and colored two donuts with my spectrum noir markers and then stamped my sentiment on my coordinating cardstock.  Love how it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Tomorrow I will have a new layout sketch for you along with some Moxxie!  See you then.  Have a wonderful and crafty day!
