Guest Scrapbooker--Who Can It Be?

Hey everyone,
Guess who my Guest Designer is Today?
He is 5 years old and I think he is very talented.  If you guessed Jack you are correct!

Well you remember that I made a couple of layouts about Jack at Pirate Camp this summer.  Well, I had a couple of duplicates of the  pictures and  some paper, and Jack saw them and he wanted to come up with his own layout.  How cute is that?  I just love it!  Of course this is going into his album.

He was so proud of being able to write his name on the paper.
It is kind of light but he wanted to draw a treasure map and then placed the x to "mark the spot".  Very creative don't you think?
Supplies:
All from Hobby Lobby

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.  The doctor says Michael just has a virus and we just have to wait out the fever etc.  Boy, I hate it when they are sick (and seems like mine are always sick).  So we shall see. A huge thanks goes out to my mother and father in law for coming over and watching Michael.  Also Thanks to all of you who sent well wishes!  I appreciate it.

Here is an adorable picture of Michael on my mom's lap all cuddled up from Sunday.

Can't wait--tomorrow starts my first day of Holiday in Pictures.  Can't wait to see what the assignment is.  I just love the month of december.  I think this is going to be so much fun.  Wow Big Picture has some really cool classes.  I may become addicted to them!

I will be back tomorrow with a new holiday card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Taking a Class

Hey everyone,
Do you all have a goal on how you want to improve your scrapping?  I know I do.  I would love to improve my scrapping by taking better pictures.  So I was on the look out and was reading Ali Edwards' blog and she talked about a class being offered by Big Picture and it is Picture Holidays.  It is a 31 day event that is aimed  at capturing the holidays and taking better pictures.  You get an assignment each day in your email.  I am so excited.  I love the holidays but i look back at my albums and i don't seem to capture them like i would like to.  So hopefully this year I will be able to.  I will be posting some of my work here on my blog as the month progresses.  I can't wait.  Click on the link above to read about the classs--hey sign up and we can all do it together!

Well are you cyber shopping today?  Me -- no!! I am almost done.  Just a few things here and there but all i need to do right now is wrap!

Well Michael came down with something yesterday.  He had a fever all day long and woke up in the middle of the night with a 103 temperature.  I have been up since 3:00a.m.  I leave for work at 5:45 a.m.  My In laws are taking him to the doctor.  My gut feeling is that he has an ear infection.  We shall see.

Well I am off.  I will be back tomorrow with a new post that highlights a layout from a "Guest Blogger!"

Thanks for Stopping by!

Happy Sunday--plus passing on an award!

Hey everyone,
Last week I received 4 of these awards from Carrie Every Day MomentsMicheleBecky and Sharla .  Wow thanks girls! I truly appreciate it.

4). Contact those bloggers and tell them about their awards

So let's get right to it!
8Things about Me!

4.  My mom is my best friend.

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Hey everyone,

Well, how was Black Friday for everyone.  I had a pretty good one! I went to my LSS and got some awesome paper.  I got the new Echo in the Park boy line (forget the name), some Basic Grey Pyrus, BoBunny Cambridge paper (did a layout for the store with this line and fell in love with it so I had to have more!!!), and some more Kraft cardstock (you can't have too much Kraft). Oh and yes signed up for a 3 hour class with Jennifer McGuire.  She is launching the new Hero Arts line of stamps.  We will be the first to use the new stamps--I am sooo excited & I can't believe it.  I also went back to Michael's because they had a 50% off coupon and I always use those on my ATG refills.  You can never have enough.  Right?

I also finished shopping for my hubby and I got a couple of things for my mom.  She is so hard to buy for.

Last weekend was the Simply Scrapbooks Holiday Open House and I submitted this project.  It is a simple 4x4 Kraft card embossed in white using a backgournd stamp and then I attached a Tim Holtz die cut.  I embossed the die cut using a Hero Arts stamp and white embossing powder.  I then used Stormy Sky Distress Ink and blended that all over.  I then attached the die cut with adhesive leaving enough space for the gift card.  I then stamped the greeting with Staz One.  I left the inside blank to write you own message.  It is way too easy and oh so cute! Going to make a bunch of these.  My mom is going to use these for all her friends etc.

Cardstock:  bazzill, Neenah Solar White
Stamps, Hero Arts
Inks: Tim Holtz, Staz On, Versamark
Embossing Powder

Well I will be back tomorrow.  I need to pass along my blog award from earlier this week.  I have to write 8 things about myself that you didn't know.  I talk a lot but I usually don't talk a lot about myself so this one is going to be tricky.  So come back tomorrow and find out 8 exciting ( or not so exciting) things about me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Black Friday + Little Yellow Bicycle Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone,

Well is everyone full of Turkey and stuffing?  I know I am! but I had a wonderful day.  I had Thanksgiving here at the house and we had my mom over for dinner.  Just perfect!  I also got to go to Michael's.  Didn't go really for scrappin' stuff.  I had to get 2 entry way Christmas trees and some of their candles for the boys' teachers.  I love their candles and they had them 3 for $10 plus 30% off that.  Also got tons of little things for the boys stockings.  My big thing for me is I got an Ott-Lite.  My scrap room is in the basement so the lighting there is pretty bad.

So today I am just going to my lss for a sale and then I am picking up  my mom and we are going to a couple of stores.  She wants a new coat and blazer.  I don't want or need a thing. So I am just driving her around!

Challenge

I have to say that this was a  very fun challenge. Usually the sketch challenges are for single page layouts but this one was for a double page spread--hello--thanks! I  love  2 pagers!
Here is the original sketch:

Indiana Jack

For the title I cut several of the letters with my Silhouette and then layered them on top of each other to get that dimensional effect. I then distressed them with black soot from Tim holtz.

For the journaling spot I used the Silhouette's print and cut feature and created the cute circle.  you cant see it but around the circle is says Happy Halloween Spooky etc.  Love it!
Supplies
Cardstock: bazzil
pattern paper:  little yellow bicycle
epoxy embellies:  little yellow bicycle
button and twine: paper trey ink

Well I hope everyone has a great Black Friday-What is everyone buying today?  I can't wait to go to my lss because they are having a sale--got to love that!  and I am in the mood to buy some paper! I will let you know what I get.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with a really easy gift card holder card.  I made if for a project at my LSS, Simply Scrapbooks for the Holiday Open House..  So I will be back tomorrow.Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone + What are You Working On? + An Update on Christmas Decorations

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!  When I look at my life I have so many things that I am thankful for.  To list all of them would take hours but I will give you my top 3!

1.  My hubby--I love him so much. He is my best friend.  I can't imagine life without him.  We found each other later in life and I am so happy that we found each other.  Thinking of him always makes me smile!

2.  My boys--when you are told you will never have children and then  have two wonderful miracles you thank god everyday for them! Every minute no matter if it is good or bad is wonderful!  My boys are my joy! They are the world to me. How lucky am I?

3.  My mother-she is my rock.  She is so strong (she has gone through 2 rounds of cancer and she is a Survivor!) She teaches me still everyday on how to be a wonderful person.  She is my inspiration.  When I get down I think about my mom and know that I can do and get through anything!  Not only is she my mom but she is my BEST friend.

What am I working on?
I have been working on a sketch for a challenge from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I want to finish it tonight and have it ready to post tomorrow.  We shall see.  My desk is just covered with everything for the layout--

Yes, those are reader glasses.  I now have to use them when I am scrapbooking so that I can see the small details.  Wow I am getting old!

Holiday Decorations Update!
Well things are progressing.  I am just a bit off schedule.  I have the boys trees up and I have the tree in the front hallway up!  Now I have to set up and decorate the family room tree and then decorate the mantle and set up the nativity set.  I also have to set up all the garland on the banister.  Just too much too do and so little time.

Here is Michael's little tree in his bedroom:

Here is Jack's little tree in his bedroom:
This years ornament.  A family of snowmen!  Jack said it is us--how cute is that!
Well everyone,
I also want to thank all of you.  I have only had my blog for 4 months and I must say I am so thankful to all my followers who take the time and write such kind comments.  It always puts a smile on my face to see that there are comments.  Thank you all so much.

I will be back tomorrow with a new layout (hopefully the one I am working on right now!) Thanks for stopping by and once again Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Cards

Hey Everyone!

Well last Thursday I showed you what I was working on.  On my desk I showed the Hero Arts Thanksgiving stamp set, and I was trying to come up with a card.  Well here it is!

Thanksgiving Day Cards!

This first one was what I came up with.  I first stamped the little girl and turkey with Momento ink.  I then colored them in using the copic markers.  I then stamped the images again on a post it note and cut the designs out.  I carefully placed the post it note cut out over my stamped and colored image to make a mask.  I then I stamped the the grass on the card and over the post it note.  I then stamped my cloud background.  Finally I added my greeting.  To finish it off I added a dot of the Ranger black enamel on the eye and inked around the edges to finish it off.  For the base I stamped the card with brown ink and the flourish background stamp all from Hero Arts.

When I got done with the card I liked it but I didn't LOVE it so I decided to tweak it for my next one.

For this one I started off the same with stamping, coloring, and making the mask.  I then stamped over the mask first with the old world writing stamp from Hero Arts and then I stamped it again with the Hero Arts Grass background stamp.  I did both stamps using the Tim Holtz Wild Honey distress Inks.  I then inked the edges in with vintage photo distress ink.  I then stamped the brown card base just like the first one.

I am much happier with this one.  I guess i like the look more., both are very cute!

So what is everyone doing today?  I am getting ready to take the boys for their flu shots and then Michael also has his 2 year check up.  After that my mom is coming over and we are going to prepare some of the side dishes ahead of time and then all I have to do is heat them up for thanksgiving dinner.  I hopefully then will get a couple of hours in for scrapping!!

Is everyone getting ready for the Black Friday Sales?  Where is everyone going to go?  I haven't decided if I will go out yet.  I usually do NOT go out.  I HATE crowds and I can usually find really good buys right before Christmas, but who knows maybe I will surprise myself and go out! I did see some online stores that are having bargins so maybe I will do shopping online.

WOW-yesterday was a busy day for handing out awards.  I received 3 of them-one from Carrie, Becky, and Sharla--WOW guys thanks so much  for thinking of me and liking my blog.  I will be posting my 8 things about myself and passing on later in the week.  But I wanted to give a shout out to these 3 awesome ladies!

So I will be passing this along--watch out you may be next!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I truly appreciate all your kind comments.  Thanks a lot!  I will be back tomorrow with a look at what I am working on. Plus I list the top 3 things that I am thankful for!  See ya tomorrow!

A New Challenge with a Layout!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share with you the new challenge from the blog: Scrap the Moments
The challenge was to create a layout that used something (a ticket, a menu, a receipt etc) that you had a round the house.  I thought this was a fun idea.  We all have this stuff laying around in a drawer or shoe box. So I decided to use my pictures and ticket stubs for a Chicago White Sox game that we went to a couple of years ago (wow that was 6 1/2 years ago).  We had a blast.  I had scrapped the pictures but I didn't put the ticket stubs on it so therefore I tweaked the layout and included the tickets.  Love it!  Check out the blog Scrap the Moments for the full list of details and ENTER!

Chicago White Sox

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Everything else is really really old materials!

I hope you all check out the blog and please please  enter.  This is really a fun idea and I would LOVE for one of my followers to win the challenge!

Also I am almost to 50 followers--once I get to 50 we will have a giveaway! So please refer your friends and have them sign up!

I will be back later in the week--I have tons to share this week.  I have been really busy! I have 2 new layouts and the Thanksgiving card that I was working on last week!  So stay tuned! and hopefully a giveaway later in the week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 2nd Birthday to my Baby Michael!

I can't believe my baby is 2 today!  He certainly is my little miracle baby!  I love him so much.  He can be so sweet and kind.  There is nothing like a hug from this child!  He hugs with all his might!  And just out of the blue he will come over and say "mom hug" and grab onto me.  Oh my how I love that!

Here are a couple of pictures from this morning!

At Breakfast--eating homemade donuts!
 Opening presents
 Total excitment--Little People Garage

Today we are having the grandparents over for a nice little lunch.  Nothing big at all.  Then after naps we are headed to our town's Christmas festival.  Our town of Springboro, Ohio has a very cute historical district and they close off the streets and have a wonderful little festival!  Last year we got to see Santa so hopefully we will see him again this year.  We already mailed the letter but now we have to tell him in person the things that we want!

Somewhere in between I need to run to Michael's because I am totally out of Glue Dots--how could this happen?  I have no idea.  I thought I had a spare box but when I looked there was nothing there.  I can't live without my glue dots.  Hopefully while they are napping and hubby is listening to the football game on the radio (yes, we are blocked out because the Bengals did not sell out their game) I can slip out for 1/2 hour to get some!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and I will be back later in the week with a new card and some new layouts!  Thanks for stopping by!

Dream Come True

Hey there,

I want to tell you a story about when I was  a little girl.  The Easy Bake Oven was the toy to have in the late 60's and it was all I wanted for Christmas.  Well my mom shopped everywhere and it was all sold out.  I then asked for it for my birthday and never got it.  As I grew up I always joked with my mom about the one gift I never got.  We would laugh and I would make my mom feel guilty (not really!)  Well this summer my mom, the kids and I would go garage sale shopping on Thursdays.  At one of the last garage sales in the  summer we drove by this house and in the driveway I saw the box.  I told my mom and she got out and bought me the Easy Bake Oven (for $3!!).  It was finally a Dream Come True.  I finally had what I had always wanted!

So as soon as I got it all cleaned up I wanted to make my first cake.  Jack and Mom watched as I mixed the batter and poured it into the little pan.  Jack was so excited to get his own personal size cake.  We followed the directions and put it into the oven and we waited and waited.  When it was time to take out the cake we were so excited; however that was short lived.  As soon as we saw the ooey gooey mess we all started to laugh!  It was terrible! So I once again cleaned it all up and boxed it up and it is now in storage in the basement.  I will not give it up because it holds such wonderful childhood memories, and now extremely funny memories as an adult.

Afterward I made Jack cupcakes by the way!  He was happy with that!

A Dream Come True!

This layout is dedicated to my childhood dream.  I had so much fun making the layout!  I used the Doodlebug Bon Apetite line.  Love the bold colors that only Doodlebug can do.

Supplies:
All Doodlebug except for the jounaling block.  The block is a stamp by Ali Edwards.

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday.  I am cleaning and getting ready for Michael's little Birthday Party tomorrow.  I can't wait!  I will be back tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!

November Imaginisce Sketch Challenge

T.G.I.F.!!!
Boy I don't know about you all but I am soooo happy it is the weekend.  I just need to rest.  I feel really run down.  Unfortunately I don't think  I will be able to find the time to rest.  We have a big weekend.  Jack has his last flag football game (thank goodness!--I know that is bad of me to say but I really don't like sitting outside in the cold! and Jack is also happy it is his last game).  My in laws are coming to watch it then we are going out for pizza afterwards, and then the main event is Sunday.  It is Michael's birthday.  We are just having grandparents over to celebrate and have lunch.  It will be really small but I think he will have a good time.  Once that is over --hello couch!

Well as you all know I love Imaginisce and one of my favorite things to do is to take part in their monthly sketch challenges.  Imaginisce has the most talented DT.  I love their sketch challenges.  Here is the sketch that we had to work with.

This sketch really made me step out of my comfort zone, but I must say I am really happy with the results.  I used the Apple Cider Collection (yes i am totally addicted to this line!).  These are pictures of Michael at my mom's house.  It was just a perfect fall day and we were over visiting.  Michael saw these scarecrows and just fell in love with them.  He kept calling them his "friends".  He would line them up and hug them and was just having a great time.  So here he is with his new "friends".  In the last picture he knocked them down and he was just so cute.

To make the trees I used my Silhouette.  I was lucky and found this set of trees that look really similar to the trees in the paper.  I cut those out and then stamped the tree tops with the friends definition from Hero Arts.  I know you probably can't see it because it was down with light ink for just a soft effect.  I then cut out my title again with the Silhouette.  I cut it out 4 times and placed each layer on top of one another in order to create a chipboard effect.  I love doing that!  Next I added some buttons and twine and called it a day.

Supplies
Cardstock:  bazzill
Pattern Paper:  Imaginisce
Journal tag: Imaginisce
buttons and twine:  Paper trey Ink and Basic Grey

What is everyone doing on this Friday night?  I plan on putting the kids to bed and curling on the couch and watching t.v.  Can't wait!  Going to bed early!  Maybe I can squeeze in some scrapping later in the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by! See ya tomorrow!

Starting Something New on Thursdays!

Hey there,

Well I have decided to start something new on Thursdays.  It is What Are You Working On?  I thought I would start a weekly entry about what I am working on this week.  So for my first entry I wanted to show you what is going on.  I have mentioned several times that I needed to come up with a Thanksgiving card and I finally came up with the idea. I don't know why this was taking me such a long time to come up with an idea.  So I just put my stamps and inks on my desk and decided to test things out to come up with the card. So when I make a card you can usually count on a couple of this going on--distress ink, neenah solar white cardstock, copics, and of course my favorite Hero Arts stamps (boy that would be a dream job working for them!!!  I can dream can't I?).

I love these stamps for Thanksgiving!  I think the little pilgram girl and boy are just so cute.  Plus I love the turkey!
I completed one card (I will post it next Wednesday) but I wasn't totally happy with it so I decided to tweek it for the second one. I just have a couple of finishing touches on it and it will be done!  hooray! I want to get them in the mail this weekend.  I always like for my cards to arrive early!  I never like to be late (for anything!)

Well a lot of you have been asking for me to post pictures of all my holiday decorations(yes I read all my wonderful comments and if you ask i will try to make it happen --if possible).  I love to redo a lot of the rooms in my house for the holidays.  So the first room was the kitchen.  Several years ago (wow it has been at least 10 years now) I found after the holidays the perfect sale on this set of dishes.  I had seen in a magazine once that the person changed her dishes and accesories every season.  Well I knew that was out of my budget but I could maybe do winter dishes.  Like I said I found the perfect sale--the dishes and accesories were all 75% off--yup I bought everything--plates, bowls, platters, mugs, candlestick holders, birdhouses, you name it!  So here is a quick picture of part of the set.  I just love the winter cabin feel.  There is nothing better than being in your warm and cozy sweats and have a fire going while it is snowing!

So next week I will post pictures of the boys' trees.  We are going out to pick out this years ornaments.  Can't wait. Jack is really getting into Christmas this year!  I love it!  We already wrote our letter to Santa.  Got to get shopping!

If you feel like posting what you are working on that would be awesome! If  you wanted to post a picture in the comment that would be awesome as well. I love to hear what everyone is up to--not just see the finished product.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with a new layout.

Giving Back--Cards for Kids

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are having a great week.  So far so good here.  Lots on my plate this week and next.  The holidays are fast approaching plus Michael's birthday is this weekend.  Yes, my baby is going to be 2--wow!  Plus Thanksgiving is at our house and I am trying to get ready for that, but I know I can handle it all.  I just have to make my lists and check it twice.  Do you like to make lists?  I know I HAVE to have them in order to stay organized.  I even make lists of things for my scrappin' (deadlines for design teams, challenges due and just odds and ends stuff).

So glad I went to the crop Friday night and completed 4 projects (3 layouts and 1 card set) because I know there will not be much in the way of creativity this week.  I just have one project on my desk right now to finish up and I hope to do so later in the week.

Well round 4 of Cards for Kids is under way and with the school year I couldn't make a ton of cards this round (I feel a bit guilty about it).  I did make every child one card though and I hope it will bring a smile to their face even if it is just a second.  I just love this stamp set by Hero Arts.  I have made tons of cards using it.  I think the little monsters are just too cute.

So for this card I used my MS scoring board and I cut a 4x8 inch card out of kraft cardstock. I stamped the card using the swirl stamp background from Hero Arts.  I then scored the card at the 4 inch mark and then scored one side again at the 2 inch mark.  Folding that I then stamped my monster 2x (once on the circle and then again on another sheet and colored him and cut him out.)  I then attached the colored monster with pop dots placed him on top of the other monster, and then glued it to a round scallop circle. I also did the same with the balloon.  To the balloon and the eye of the monster I added glossy accents to make the item pop off the page.   I then attached it to the 2 inch side of the card.  I know I am not explaining this well--hopefully the pictures will help you understand.  I was going to make a video but no time for that--sorry.   Inside I stamped the greeting.

Supplies
Cardstock:  kraft, bazzill, neenah solar white
stamps:  Hero arts
glossy accents

If you would like more information about Cards for Kids click the link here .

Well I will be back tomorrow with a new post for Thursday.  This will be a weekly post on Thursdays.  Please check back tomorrow.  Hope you like the idea.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am so excited!

Hey everyone,
If you remember back to earlier this month I posted a layout about myself for a new scrapbooking challenge blog.  Well I am very pleased to say that I also tried out to be on their design team and I made it!  I am so excited to be apart of this new site.  Devon is just starting it up. We will be having a couple of challenges a month.  It is going to be so much fun!  I hope you all hop over there to check it out.  Scrap the Moments

Well I am still continuing to pack up my Fall decorations and unpack my Christmas decorations.  The boys and I unpack a box each day after school.  Jack's tree is up in his room.  He is so excited.  He has a little tree with lights, and I have started a tradition that each year we go out and he gets to pick a new ornament for the tree.  I think we are going out this weekend to pick it out.  He can't wait!  I will post pictures this weekend.  I also have my winter dishes unpacked, washed and put away.  I will post pictures as well.  Michael has a little tree as well.  He loves it.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I just wanted to share my good news with all of you!  I will be back tomorrow with a new card set.  It is really cute!  It involves monsters!

I love Sundays!

Hello!

Well yesterday for me was the PERFECT day!  We spent the entire day outside.  The boys loved every minute of it.  The weather was that perfect 70 degree day and it was awesome!  Jack has been wanting to jump in the leaves so we raked them all up and the boys had a blast.  Just had to share this picture of Jack.  It is way too cute!  I haven't had a chance to crop them and stuff but I just had to share them!
Here they were having sooo much fun throwing the leaves up in the air.  Can't wait to crop this to get a good close up!

Well we also brought up a bunch of Christmas stuff from storage.  Here is a picture of some of the boxes loaded into the living room waiting to be unpacked.
Michael just kept saying "Wow!" when we brought another one up.  We still have a couple of big ones to bring up and I will slowly begin the process.  First will be my kitchen dishes.  I love to replace my dishes in the winter.  That is my goal today.

Another perfect part of the day was that Jeff and I had a babysitter last night and we had a perfect date night.  We went to the Cheesecake Factory.  Mmmm it was so good.  I love getting a couple of their snack and light plates that way I can have a couple of different things.  We were so full that we didn't even have cheesecake for dessert.  Oh well no big deal to me.    Like I said yesterday was the PERFECT day.

So today on the agenda is just relaxing!  Mom is coming over and we are going to do  a bit of shopping--going to Lowe's to buy Jeff's Christmas gift and then just hanging out.  At my crop Friday I worked on 3 layouts and a card set but I forgot something for each one so I have to finish those projects up.  So sorry for not having a layout today to share but I need to take pictures of some of last weeks projects.  If I get everything done today I will try to post a new layout tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Saturday!

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  We still have another day with moderate temperatures here.  Jack has another flag football game today so it will be nice to go to.  He has one more and then he is finally done.  It seems like this season has taken forever.

Can you believe what I am going to start doing this weekend?  I bet you can't guess it--setting up Christmas decorations.  I go CRAZY with my decorations.  I set up 4 trees in the house and change a bunch of the decor including my dishes in the kitchen.  I have to set up early because right after Thanksgiving we have a huge family party and things need to be decorated etc.  Plus I need to get the boys holiday picture of them sitting under the tree taken and developed to turn into Christmas cards.  So all the holiday boxes are coming out of storage and I will slowly unpack the boxes.  I will keep you posted with pictures.

Born To Be Wild!

Well I have been working on the November design team layout for Simply Scrapbooks this past week, and I finally finished it.  I must say I was having a terrible time with this layout at first.  I had never worked with BoBunny paper before (why I have no idea) and I thought this paper collection was not the greatest (at first).  Here is a picture of the collection. It is called the Cambridge collection.

Well as I started working with some of the papers I was liking the paper more and more till finally I fell in love with it.  I am going to have to buy the entire collection now.  It is so awesome if you have boys! I love the argyle pattern-very preppy!

Here I used my silhouette to make the title.  I cut several layers of kraft cardstock and then placed them on top of it and then finally covered it with the pattern paper.  I made my own chipboard title.  I will posting more about my silhouette in the next couple of week--just saying I love it1

The background of this layout is that Jack loves to go into the living room and put on one of his CDs and he LOVES to dance and show me "his moves!"  He is just too cute and so funny!

Supplies:
cardstock:  bazzill, Neenah Solar White
pattern paper:  bo bunny cambridge
Embellies:  Bo Bunny
inks:  pumice and antique linen distress inks

Well I will see you all tomorrow!  I hope everyone has a great day and evening!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Captain is in the House!

Shiver me Timbers,

Well the Indian Summer is still here .  Today we are expecting another high of 71 degrees. It could break the record!  Wow you got to love that!  It has been awesome with the boys.  We come home after school and we play outside till dinner time.  They are loving it, but we know it has to come to an end.  Tomorrow the high is only in the low 50's (back to reality!).

Well last week I posted a layout with my mom and Jack reading about Pirates because Jack had a summer camp all about Pirates.  Well on the last day of the camp they got to dress up like a pirate!  How fun is that?  So mom and I put together this make shift pirate costume.  He LOVED it.  So this is a picture of Jack in front of the school trying to give his best mean pirate looking face.  God love him!

Pirate Jack
Can I say I just love this layout!  I am not usually a sticker person but I just loved all the 3D cardstock stickers with this kit.  I think it turned out great--hope you like it!

Well as I mentioned on Wednesday I am going to a crop tonight! Oh I can't wait.  I need to get some serious work done tonight.  I have been busy at work and then the boys have been just crazy (in a good way!) and I have just not had any real time to get in my area and scrap.  We get down there and then the boys want to play--and the boys do come first even though the work has just been piling up.  It is just crazy.  I get a bit stressed when I have a lot of deadlines that I need to meet. They are all self imposed but I want to enter some challenges and the due dates are getting close.   any who--

hope everyone has a great Friday and I will see you back here later in the weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!
